This review is from: TRENDnet TE100-S5 Unmanaged 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet Switch
Pros: Fast delivery! Plug & play right out of the box! Just plug in the ac, the cable from the modem or router & extensions. No drivers, setup or anything! Works great!
Cons: It is a 4-port switch -- NOT a 5-port switch. 1 of the connectors is taken by the input cable from the router. Not worth deducting a star.
Other Thoughts: I am amazed by how easy it is to set up & how well it works as well as its low price! I paid $10 delivered. Thanks Newegg.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA SY-VIA6421-3S1P PCI SATA / IDE Controller Card
Pros: Replacement works well on Windows 7. One of the least expensive cards on the market. Adds 2 SATA and 2 IDE ports. Installation of drivers was easy. Newegg provides fast shipping. SYBA customer service was helpful.
Cons: First one would not boot even as a non-boot drive. 2nd one did not fit into PCI socet without my adjusting the bracket.
Other Thoughts: This is a update from my previous 1-star review. Once you get a non-defective one, it works as well as a card that was three times the price. Although its only SATA 1, it was as fast as the much more expensive SATA II PCI card due to the PCI bottle neck.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RC-217 SATA II 4 Port RAID 0/1/5/10 PCI RAID Card
Pros: Works well with Windows 7! Installs easily. Has 4 SATA II ports. Well made. Fits IDE slot with no adjustment. Low profile bracket included. Has Silicon Image chip. Fast delivery from Newegg and excellent customer service from Rosewill.
Cons: Will only provide SATA II speed on a server due to computer's PCI bottleneck so it is the same speed as cheaper SATA I cards. Deducted 1 star due to absence of cables at this price.
Other Thoughts: This is the fourth SATA controller I bought and I'm glad I did! Although this one costs a little more, it has 4 ports and will save you the headaches of waisting lots of time with ones that won't boot, cause the blue screen of death, don't fit in the PCI socket without lots of adjustments -- and just drive you crazy trying to get it to work. Buy this one! You won't be sorry!READ FULL REVIEW
