Pros: Good solid performer while it worked, quiet.
Cons: Black screen of death after a year and a half, with ineffective response from XFX to date- Ticket is open, they requested the invoice, and have now been sitting on it for a week.
Not at all happy with XFX customer support.
Other Thoughts: Cards fail. It happens. I'm o.k. with that to a point, although in rebuilding the system from scratch to nail down the problem I wasted time and money on a new SSD
But in my book where a company fails hard is when they get the opportunity to stand behind their product and warrantee, and they drop the ball.
At this point, after providing the info they asked me for, I have heard nothing back for a week. XFX fail. Never again, unless they make this right in a hurry.
Pros: Fast, fast, and... Fast.
Reasonably priced given it's performance- I think it's a great value.
Cons: Non yet.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Antec TRUEQUIET 140 140mm Case Fan
Pros: At $15 each (qty 2) and free shipping, these are a great buy. They are very quiet- even the "high" setting is quieter than the aerocool streamliners I had been using previously. In addition to being barely audible at 1m, the noise they do make is a pleasent lower-frequency hum. At low speed, they are inaudible, and still produce nice flow.
Cons: The bright yellow attachments are pretty goofy. If they really felt the need for sillicone, couldn't it have been black, like the rest of the frame?? I've never had a hard mounted fan get the case resonating, anyway, so I'm not sure there's really that much point to the silicone, but I guess it can't hurt. UNLESS ITS SO UGLY IT HURTS YOUR EYES!!! ;-)
Also, the "tool-less mounting" would have you use these plastic buttons and leave these hunks of plastic sticking through the case... No thanks. I just used conventional fan screws, though, and it's just as secure, while being substantially less obtrusive.
Other Thoughts: I'd give these a 4.5 if I could. They really deliver for quietness, and for $15 each (for 2) they are a hands-down value winner for quiet 140mm fans.READ FULL REVIEW
