Most Critical Review
Digital Innovations Skip Dr. Repair Combo for PS3
Digital Innovations Skip Dr. Repair Combo for PS3

Pros: Has both battery and wall adapter, easy to use.

Cons: Design is poor. The cleaning solution (mostly filtered water with some isopropyl alcohol) runs down inside the housing when in operation. Couldn't do more than one disk at a time without risking it shorting out or at least corroding the battery contacts. Ended up having to remove the batteries after every use and let it stand for a day or two to dry out before using it again. It's made out of plastic. ALL of it. Stupid thing chewed up its gears after about 5 or 6 disks. Most definitely NOT worth the price.

Overall Review: SkipDRx USED to be a good and reliable product. The first one I bought lasted for more than 3 years and I resurfaced hundreds of disks with it. I paid $40 for it and it was worth every penny. Now it's just another cheap piece of plastic trash that falls apart after less than a dozen uses. Shame on you, Newegg, for selling such garbage and shame on SkipDRx for their greed.

Problems with mousewheel

Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE CH-9304211-NA Black 17 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB 2.0 Type-A Wired Optical 18000 dpi MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse, Backlit RGB LED
Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE CH-9304211-NA Black 17 Buttons 1 x Wheel USB 2.0 Type-A Wired Optical 18000 dpi MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse, Backlit RGB LED

Pros: Everything about this mouse was great except for the scroll wheel.

Cons: Scroll wheel. At first, it would occasionally jump up or down a few lines when scrolling in the opposite direction (jump up when scrolling down, etc.). Recently it has become so bad that I had to switch back to the Razer gaming mouse I was using when I ordered this one 3 and a half years ago. It's gotten to the point that I scroll down a page and end up a half page back from where I started.

Overall Review: Not recommended. I've looked all over the net for drivers, fixes, updates, etc. and had no luck. General consensus seems to be that if you have no problems with a Corsair product in the first month, then they're good forever. Otherwise, it will never work right. I had the same opinion of Gateway products. Wonder if the same people owned both?

Buy something more expensive and more reliable

Three coils Qi Wireless Charger M1 Wireless Charging Pad/Mat/Plate with holder for Samsung Galaxy S3 S4 Note 2 Note 3 Nokia 820 920 Google Nexus 4 5 7 HD HTC 8X
Three coils Qi Wireless Charger M1 Wireless Charging Pad/Mat/Plate with holder for Samsung Galaxy S3 S4 Note 2 Note 3 Nokia 820 920 Google Nexus 4 5 7 HD HTC 8X

Pros: IF it connects and charges, it does it quietly, if a bit slowly.

Cons: 9 times out of 10 it refuses to establish a solid connection. It will connect and then disconnect rapidly (like being on the bleeding edge of a wireless router's range), never giving the battery a chance to charge and draining the battery even faster by keeping the screen active.

Overall Review: I bought this to replace a cheaper version by the same manufacturer and seller. Never again. I also replaced the receiver on the chance that it was damaged. No joy. Going to spend more money on something better next time.

Not bad, but fragile

Colorfly CT801 Ait 8" Tablet PC Android 4.1 RK3066 Cortex-A9 Dual-core 1024x768 IPS Screen 1GB+16GB 0.3MP Camera HDMI
Colorfly CT801 Ait 8" Tablet PC Android 4.1 RK3066 Cortex-A9 Dual-core 1024x768 IPS Screen 1GB+16GB 0.3MP Camera HDMI

Pros: High on board storage (16G) and decent capacity for external SD card storage (up to 32G).

Cons: VERY fragile power connection, easily damaged, very slick and difficult to hold, small border area.

Overall Review: The outer shell is a brushed aluminum, very slick. The "border" area of the glass is barely thumb wide, it constantly was picking up "touches" on the fringe of the screen area. The processor is only a single core and, unless you are into hacking Android systems, the OS has a large number of useless built in programs that run at startup and need to be shut down to free up operating memory.

Good fan, short life

Scythe SY1225SL12SH "Slipstream" Case Fan
Scythe SY1225SL12SH "Slipstream" Case Fan

Pros: Good solid piece of hardware. Runs until it doesn't

Cons: Design is a little slipshod. When fan is in operation, it puts lift stress on the motor and bearings. Should have turned the blades around so that the lift force was towards the motor rather than away from it. Probably would last much longer by doing that and adding a small metal plate to the base of the motor casing.

Overall Review: Good fan for the money if you're looking for a short-term fix (less than 2 years)

Good mouse but...

Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse
Microsoft SideWinder X5 Mouse

Pros: Great response, smooth operation, sturdy construction, fits my large hand very well. Buttons completely programmable once I downloaded the driver and software from MS. Love the on-the-fly DPI adjustment buttons, makes it easy to go from quick response and turning to fine targeting a breeze

Cons: While the soft wheel is comfortable it's made of some cruddy rubber that flakes and peels constantly, causing the wheel to become sticky or unresponsive. You'd think that MS would have given the wheel a little more clearance or used better quality materials in a "gaming" mouse, considering the use that many games put the wheel to. I give it 3 eggs because I FREQUENTLY have to stop and remove the rubber flakes.
