Very nice for HTPC

nMEDIAPC Silver Aluminum / Steel HTPC 280SA Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
nMEDIAPC Silver Aluminum / Steel HTPC 280SA Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros: The case is very light! I didn't quite believe this myself, but it has front-connections for basically anything needed in a HTPC, including an IR window for an MCE remote system, including the internal USB cable. It also includes cables for video capture cards so the front panel actually does something. Plenty of rear slots, and even one above the power supply for in/out brackets so you don't waste valuable PCI slots. Comes with mounting ties and basically anything necessary to fit the whole mess. The front fan control/display is very nice, and a 3/4 pin fan converter is included! Allows 3 internal HDs, which is excellent for a media system, and a fan sits right in front to keep them cool. Looks beautiful.

Cons: Only includes a coax audio out. A coax/spdif would have been perfect to plug into a MB with appropriate headers. As with all cases this size, it's very cramped.

Overall Review: Unlike most microATX cases, this one has room for a full ATX power supply. It can get a little cramped, but there's enough room between the hard drives and the cables to keep things manageable. The top of the case has a fan vent for the CPU cooler, but if you use an after-market cooler, you will most likely have to remove the plastic air-guide attached to the top panel.
