Logitech 920-004967 G510s Keyboard
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs Succesor to legendary G15 12/26/2014

This review is from: Logitech 920-004967 G510s Keyboard

Pros: If you had a G15 years ago you will love this.
Keys respond perfectly, illuminated for the dark nights, has 18 macro buttons if you have any need for them. And the main reason I like these keyboards is due to little LCD screen, you can monitor resource usage with it in real time, everything, time, RSS feeds. And many applications will have plugins to work with this screen.

Cons: Not mechanical but I dont mind.

Other Thoughts: Overall even better then G15 because you can change the color of the screen and illumination to what you want.

AMD Sempron 3850 Kabini Quad-Core 1.3GHz Socket AM1 25W Desktop Processor AMD Radeon HD 8280 SD3850JAHMBOX

Pros: Only 25W TDP, low temps ,Quad core, onboard decent graphics, can even do 4k rez video.
We use this in our work PC. Its a little slugish for my standards even with an SSD. But hey for less then 40 bucks what more do you want.

Cons: Just a little slugish thats all, but its fine for surfing, email, word processing machine.

Other Thoughts: Semprons are the budget line of AMD and thats why this is a little slugish but hey its under 40$ and can do 4k rez video.

NETGEAR WNR3500L-100NAS 802.11b/g/n RangeMax Wireless-N Gigabit router up to 300Mbps/ DD-WRT Open Source support/ USB x1

Pros: You can flash this to a tomato based 3rd based firmware which will transform it into a super router. Just google tomato and you will see what I mean. It has so many options. There currently are 3 tomato versions for this router, most popular by "shibby" then there is "toastman" and the one I use by "viktek" which I find the best, has all the options shibby has except TOR which I could care less about but what it has is the ability to change log on username instead of admin you could put what you want. Everything else is same.

YOu can setup custom DNS servers choosing OpenDNS would be my recommendation for extra security and add DNScrypt and so on. You have to know what your doing but when you get the hang of it you will see.

They are linux based which is 100 times more secure then anything else even Ciscos. The default firmware has some security holes when I tested them with zenmap, tomato firmware will lock it down much better out of the box, but if you are still not happy and a lin guru it has a section for scripts where you can add your own IP tables script to firewall of the router.

Cons: Default firmware has a few security holes. Other then that nothing I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Overall one of the best Linux based routers available.
