Rosewill Legacy U3-B-Window Black Aluminum Alloy MicroATX Mini Tower Computer Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: looks amazing, can't get enough of it

very small for a MicroATX case with the feet it's 20.8L and still fits full size cpu coolers, as far as i know there isn't anything smaller that can do that.

Not sure if this is a pro, but it's been probably 2 years since i've had an optical drive in a computer and this is one of the few cases that doesn't offer a bay for one, makes the case look a lot cleaner from the outside

Cons: when it arrived part of the back panel where the fan mounts was warped although after removing the fan it mostly went back to normal on its own, so just be careful when mounting fans.

Also even though this case fits ATX psu's i wouldn't go too big, the aluminum isn't extremely thick and this case only weighs 2.5kg (~5.5lbs) and as far as i know there aren't many ATX psu's less than that. Doesn't affect me since i'll probably use a 450w SFX psu i already have, but could affect some people

Also I'd do a fair amount of research before buying this case since i was originally going to put a Maximus VI Gene in it but after looking at the space limitations and lack of cable routing options decided to downsize to an Impact.

Oh front panel cables are WAY too long, I actually desoldered the USB 3.0 cables off the front panel circuit board.

Oh no filters included (well aside from on the exhaust fan which seems pointless), wasn't an expensive fix though, ~$15 for double sided tape at a crafts store and ~$3 for half a square meter of filter fabric from a fabric store (obviously isn't sold as filter fabric, but it looks the same). I only put the filter on the outside of the bottom vent though in case the tape lets go and i didn't want the filter to be visible.

Not really a con but 140mm fans with 120mm hole spacing won't fit.
Just things to consider

Other Thoughts: Didn't realize before starting this review how many cons there are compared to pros, but to me they're all things you can work around and considering the size and look of the case it's still well worth it.

still piecing together this build so nothing is actually inside the case yet, special ordering parts, determining what i need for cables, and figuring out the best places to mount hard drives is taking a while.

Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Case Fan
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs super quiet 04/06/2014

This review is from: Noctua NF-S12A PWM 120mm Case Fan

Pros: super quiet even at 100% rpms

Cons: could do without the flimsy screwless "screws"

Other Thoughts: not really a con i just wish they made their fans in other colours.

Xigmatek AOS (Aeronautical Oil System Bearing) XAF-F1251 120MM Fan with Copper Bushing Axis Black Blade
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: looks good

Cons: quite a bit louder than expected, compared it back to back to a Noctua NF-S12A PWM i have and even with the rpms on the Xigmatek turned down to 85% (roughly same CFM as Noctua at 100%) the Xigmatek was still way louder

Other Thoughts: I've used Noctua fans for most of my builds, but bought a new case with a side window and was hoping to find something that looked better with close to equal sound/performance levels, just ordered a Silenx 120mm fan so we'll see how that goes.
