ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176CX-A1-WH) Intel Atom Z3745 1GB Memory 16GB eMMC 7.0

Pros: Great tablet kicks the snot out of my old ipod. No more bloatware running 24/7 in the background just because I want to put music on my mp3 player. I actually had trouble putting videos on my tablet because of how easy it was. I was thinking to myself "it can't be that simple, I'm missing a step" Turns out no, just put the video on your tablet and it will automatically be added to the video library.

Cons: Cons listed because they are negative things but nothing to do with the hardware just the software.

So a few things I've noticed that has to deal with Asus firmware, I believe I've updated to their latest software update and I have two issues so far;

First the alarm clock for some reason I can't turn off after it starts ringing. I tried hitting the lock/unlock button on the side, swiping the screen to unlock, even going into the settings and manually turning off the alarm doesnt stop the alarm [it's quite loud which is good] this morning only way I figured out how to stop it is turning it completely off. It would suck if I have to do that everymorning. I would think stopping the alarm would be intuitive.

Second, the Memopad will not turn on if it is fully off and plugged in. If you want to turn it on and it's charging, you have to unplug it, hold the lock switch to turn it on, then you are free to replug it back in. For some reason having it plugged into the USB port on my computer to charge while off stops it from turning on.

Other Thoughts: Overall a solid tablet for everything I've used so far. I haven't gotten down and dirty with it so to speak and my complaints really are minor. I'm sure a firmware update is coming to address these. I had to dock an egg because the time I spent fiddling with it this morning almost made me late for work [which is not the point of an alarm clock]

Pros: Seems awesome

Cons: enter key died on the second day

Other Thoughts: kind of high price to set on such a shoddy keyboard

NZXT Crafted Series Phantom Black/Green Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Amazing spacious case + looks awesome.

Lots of room for cable management.

Cons: Front headphone jack will hold onto your headphones with an iron grip. Lost two pairs already from the cord snagging on my chair when I turned. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: Nothing besides the superhuman audio jack on the front of this case was an issue to me. Overall a quality case.
