Pros: this one works. It doesn't reset on bumps at all, I adjusted the band finally to 87.7 and I get nice clear music from my SD card. I have eclectic tastes and odd and there isn't a radio channel anywhere, including satellite radio that I care to listen to regularly.
Cons: buttons are tiny and a reach if you want to adjust while driving. that said, the idea is to avoid a 400 dollar stereo installation so that isn't a good criticism. a remote to advance or repeat the track would be nice
Other Thoughts: it is tough. I am trying to not spend a lot on my 2001 Buick. my pickup is brand new and has a beautiful stereo so I am spoiled. but I drive the Buick where parking is tough(e.g. train station parking building) or when I have the dog and want someplace to throw the pizza or groceries. but this gets me thereREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: it doesn't disconnect when you hit a bump like the other one I tried
it sets up and plays on its own, thank you
Cons: I don't understand why it is overpowered by stray FM. I found it set to 88.9 where there was no radio broadcasting. I thought it would be great but the 2nd day I started getting overwhelmed by a station and lost the signal. you would think that a unit within 6 inches of the radio wouldn't get overwhelmed by what I think is called skip. but I couldn't listen to the ripped music on my SD card anymore. it would occasionally break through. today there might not be a signal on that band but it is irritating.
the instructions aren't helpful. I can't figure out what the M button it refers to in the text, it isn't labeled in the illustration and nothing acts like it.. thank fully the setup is automatic
Other Thoughts: I am looking for something like this that works. I don't want to pull the radio in my 2001 Buick, and my MP3 players are unsatisfactory. I am stuck because my truck takes SD cards and work flawlessly so I am expecting a lot.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: it works, when it is working at its best it is great but it varies
Cons: the first 2 days it kept resetting. I resolved that but it is fussy on insertion.
reception varies, I get crystal clear reception for a mile then I get static and break up for awhile, then it is good again. I don't know if it needs to be shielded or what for this
Other Thoughts: originally I thought it was completely malfunctioning. I took it out to see if I could increase the tension on springs that hold it but didn't find any. I slammed it back into the cigarette lighter socket and heard a click. it holds now and doesn't reset anymoreREAD FULL REVIEW
