Pros: Very fast - can stream 3 movies to separate devices wirelessly.
Tech support is not technically competent.
Other Thoughts: I have to reboot router a couple times a week because the router loses its HARDWIRE connection to my server. There is no excuse for this. When the router loses its HARDWIRE connection to my server, the username and password no longer work. I then have to go through the setup routine again to get into the router. Then reboot.
Installing firmware was a mess. Wireless connection could not see server.
Tech support was not familiar with the product and had no idea how to solve my problem. When I asked about the firmware upgrade, which the owners manual recommends you do, the tech support rep stated “if it works, don’t fix it.” I pointed out that the owner’s manual says to keep the firmware current. This was only the beginning of a grueling hour. You know the uncomfortable feeling when tech support is guessing? That is exactly what these guys were doing. Between the router not working and the lack of technical competence at tech support, I am seriously considering returning the item and going with a different manufacturer. I can’t recommend this router – it takes too much time to operate.
Pros: It is an OEM cartridge.
Cons: Started leaking early into use.
Other Thoughts: Brother product support sent me a new one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The only pro for this router is that I have to give it one egg instead of 0.
Cons: I have no positive comments about my experience with this router. I bought it in January from Cisco. I had called in with a tech support question about my wrt300n and was told that the E4200 was the way to go. Why is technical support selling?
The fact is, the E4200 underperforms my wrt300n, which is now carrying the workload because the E4200 died after 8 months of low quality service. Subpar signal strength and throughput have been my experience. I purchased the unit through Cisco, which was a mistake. I paid more than you can get it here, and when the unit dies, you have to buy another one before they will ship out a replacement, and then credit you. But wait, there is more, you have to pay for shipping, again, to send it back.
My wrt300n streams movies from WHS without hangups, while the E4200 was never able to successfully accomplish this. I have a new E4200 coming from Cisco.
Update***** I got my replacement and it works just like the first one. Di
Other Thoughts: I recommend to all that you avoid Cisco.READ FULL REVIEW
