This review is from: Polk Audio UltraFocus 6000 In-Ear Canal Active Noise Cancelling Headphone
Pros: Good sound. Love the flat cables. Microphone option is very neat.
Cons: When the battery runs out these are useless, they don't work as regular headphones. There's no volume control, only a -10dB switch. Noise cancelling is sub-par. Fit is not great either, but YMMV.
Other Thoughts: Get the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC23BK:
- work as regular headphones without a battery
- have a volume control
- fit is really good
- battery lasts a long time
Most importantly, the noise cancellation is AMAZING: I've used them on airplanes and they are truly fantastic. The only downside is that cables are thin, which leads to tangles -- but they are about $40 cheaper than the Polk, so to me the choice is clear.
This review is from: TRENDnet TPE-S44 Unmanaged Switch
Pros: Well built, stable power, compact design, and flawless operation
Cons: Can't think of any
Other Thoughts: I wish someone sold 4- or 8-port PoE midspans, specially without tiny, noisy fans. Until that happens, this little unit is your best friend for affordable PoE deployment in small installations.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Eagle ET-AR302-BK 6 Watts RMS 2.0 Black Soundstage Speakers
Pros: Nice design, compact, big controls, no external power supply
Cons: Very noisy. Even when the power is off, they emit a low-frequency hum that's very bothersome. The hum is there when the power is on, thus adding noise to the music. The sound is crisp, but definitely NOT clean.
Other Thoughts: I really love that there's no external power supply, but looks like the internal one is coupling w/ the speakers or the power conversion is not clean enough, turning this cute pair of desk speakers into mere paperweights.READ FULL REVIEW
