This review is from: Aluratek ALB8W 60W Equivalent Warm White A19 LED Light Bulb
Pros: Energy efficient
Cons: Another manufacturer stretching the truth on light output. A simple search will show you that 40w=450 lumens and 60w=800 lumens. This bulb outputs 630 lumens which is somewhere in between. It's deceptive to tell consumers it's a 60w equivalent when it's not.
Other Thoughts: I really like the LED technology but I'm not buying a single bulb until manufacturers start accurately listing their light output. I don't recall ever seeing this problem with CFLs.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Collection LED A19 8 Watt 60 Watt Incandescent Replacement, Warm White
Pros: New tech. Doesn't contain mercury. Will only get better over time as the tech improves.
Cons: There seems to be a trend developing in which the brightness of these LED bulbs is being exaggerated. A 60-watt bulb gives off 800-850 lumens of light. These bulbs are 581 lumens which is a 40-watt equivalent not even close to 60-watt. This bulb would need to be about 11 watts (not 7.6) to be 60-watt equivalent.
Other Thoughts: I'm a big fan of LED lighting and it's great to see the 'lighting facts' being so clearly displayed but let's stop trying to fool people with the exaggerated wattage equivalent claims. You don't need to do that. Just tell it like it is. Sell the 7.6 watt LED bulb as a 40-watt and an 11 watt as a 60 watt.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Low price. Good image quality.
Cons: Included thin cables are poor. Was having ghosting using VGA cable. Replaced with a thicker cable and ghosting was eliminated.READ FULL REVIEW
