HooToo HT-CT01 40W 4-Port Smart USB Charging Station w/ OTG Access Smartphone/Tablet

4 out of 5 eggs Good Charger but didn't work with Galaxy Tab 10.1 12/04/2014

This review is from: HooToo HT-CT01 40W 4-Port Smart USB Charging Station w/ OTG Access Smartphone/Tablet

Pros: Many Ports
Fast Charging
OTG - storage, mice, etc...

Cons: short OTG cable, and OTG function wouldn't work with longer cables, or with stock cable through an extension.
It seems to not like to charge devices that have been run totally dead.

Other Thoughts: It would not charge my old Galaxy Tab 10.1 or my new Galaxy S4 if it was fully dead. Most chargers take a while to give it enough juice to turn on, but this one was plugged in for over 3 hours and the devices were still dead. Plugged them into another charger and they woke right up. I think it is a failure of the smart charge being able to negotiate a charge rate. It is supposed to default to 1A if negotiation fails but it seems like it is not doing that. Also I was able to charge my devices on the OTG port while OTG was running, the manual said that was not possible. Still overall I really like this charger. I just have to have an old dumb charger on hand to wake up 0% charge devices.

5 out of 5 eggs Nice starter plane 04/02/2014

This review is from: ParkZone Archer BNF PKZ6180

Pros: easy to assemble, flies stable, relatively cheap, strong for styrofoam

Cons: shops sell it as "beginner" but the box says "intermediate"
styrofoam breaks easy

Other Thoughts: Not a bad starter plane. Kind of a steep learning curve for a beginner but I'm getting the hang of it. All of my crashes have been my fault, no fault of the plane. Lots of fun, not too hard to repair. Styrofoam breaks easy but it is probably the strongest styrofoam I've ever seen.

3 out of 5 eggs Not a huge fan 09/25/2013

This review is from: GARMIN 5.0" GPS Navigation W/Lifetime Map & Traffic Updates

Pros: Big screen, many features, LMT, nice construction/feel.

Cons: Very slow to type, push button for power (i prefer slide switches), size makes it heavy/cumbersome

Other Thoughts: It did a good job most of the time, but typing on the keyboard was excruciatingly slow, recalculating was very slow, searching for POI's was very slow. It had nice features but it seemed like they crammed all these features into a unit meant for a lot fewer features. Also the screen size was nice, but it made it heavier, so sometimes it would fall off the windshield, and it wasn't as easy to carry around in my pocket. I downgraded to a 255w now, I miss the screen and features, but this one is easy to pocket, and is quick to update and type.
