Pros: - Run cool
- Run quiet
- "intellipower" = "power saving"
- running speed not that slow (kinda between green and black)
Cons: - Not as fast as Black
- it was very expensive when i got them ...
Other Thoughts: Bought the first 2 of WD Red 3 TB back in October 2012 for $229 EACH!! When the prices of all HDDs were "sky-high" (because of the Thailand flooding that damaged WD's product lines if I recalled it correctly).
Then bought another 2 again in Jan 2013 when the price dropped a bit but were still $189 each ...
All put into my DS414, running mostly during the day (not 24/7). They all have been running for over a year without any issue.
And I just ordered a DX513 expansion unit yesterday and am planning to buy 2 x WD Red 4TB but worry about the failure rate according to the review so far ...
Well, I have never received any DOA products from Newegg so far. Their packaging was good back in the old days but not sure now because people have been complaining the packaging is not as good as how it used to be ... which is another reason that I worry if I order from newegg.
This review is from: Metropolitan ED500 DataVac 120 Volt Electric Duster, White
Pros: - Very powerful
- Cable is long
(long enough for me to take out my pc to doorway and blow the dust out so i don't need to clean the dust in my room)
- Have a filter in the bottom, easy to clean
Cons: - Super loud.
- Become pretty hot after short time of use, but not too bad.
- the hoses that come with the product are hard to attach and detach.
Other Thoughts: The best dust blower ever. Should have found this long ago and saved my money spent on other similar products which are not good ...
Got this when it was on sale for $55. Great deal.
If you plan to do it on your desk, remember take out other small stuffs (like papers/memos ...etc) around the area or it will blow them all miles away...
Make sure to dry the filter first after washing it and before insert it back and use again.
Pros: - Great color and contrast. Very clear and crispy.
- Slim size, save some space on my desk
- "Frame-less" (or borderless) design, looks modern.
Cons: - No DVI port (and display port). Almost want to take out one egg ....
- "touch" buttons, took some time to get used to and a little bit too sensitive but not too bad.
- Sound of the the built-in speakers is barely 'ok'.
- A little bit pricy (yes, i know it's 27")
Other Thoughts: Have been using it for 6 months, still have no problem so far.
The first 1 I got had 1 dead pixel. I returned it for replacement. Thanks newegg for processing replacement request so quick.
The default setting is too bright, so as in other modes (theater, gaming, RGB ... etc). I managed to adjust the contrast and brightness and color level to low level like 30 something which makes my eyes feel lot more comfortable for long time usage.
Some people complain about the response time. I have no problem at all, no ghosting at all when playing any fps games so far.
