Pros: Coming from a Seagate Black Armor NAS drive this thing is nothing short of amazing. Very fast, very customizable, and great support from the forum and their wiki site. If you are in the market for a NAS device, Synology should be near the top of your list. I've been extremely happy with the product, and feel that it is worth every penny I spent on the device.
Cons: I originally purchased this with a WD 2tb hard drive. It is listed on synology's site as being compatible but to tell you the truth it really isn't. I ended up buying a Hitachi hard drive instead and it installed and worked immediately without a need to partition, format, align, etc. the hard drive in a pc first as the WD drive required.READ FULL REVIEW
Cons: Due to the 4k sectors on this drive, I was unable to use this it in my NAS drive. I tried switching this out with 1 tb wd black drive in my pc but after partitioning and formating this drive was still failing the smart test, etc on my x64 windows 7 pc. I would stay away from these drives until the market matures a little more.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked after downloading the new version of the ATI Catalyst Control Center.
Cons: When I installed the drivers that came with the product I lost the picture on all 3 of my monitors and could no longer boot into Windows 7, had to do a recovery reboot to get back in. I was happy that it did eventually work.
Other Thoughts: I purchased the x1 version of this card because my x16 slot was already being used by my main graphics card. I can attest to the fact that with a little finagling this card is able to work effectively with windows 7 x64 and an ATI Radeon 4870 graphics card.READ FULL REVIEW
