OKGEAR OK108 2.5 inch SATA to USB 2.0 Adapter Cable w/2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Cheap, compact

Cons: Manufacturer uses different bridges.

Other Thoughts: It appears that OKGEAR uses both the SuperTop bridge and the Sunplus bridge in these adapters. One is more robust than the other (Sunplus). Some flavors of Linux (Fedora) will complain with the SuperTop bridge. Not cool. I bought many of these expecting consistent performance.

Panasonic BL-C30A 640 x 480 MAX Resolution RJ45 Wireless 802.11b/g PetCam Network Camera
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Price.Size.Pan/Tilt

Cons: Wireless Unstable

Other Thoughts: Wireless setup needs much fine tuning. Camera needs too many hard restarts when playing around with wireless security. Inconsistently configures itself to router. IF YOU OWN A VIGOR ROUTER, DHCP DOES NOT WORK THROUGH WIRELESS. Cheaper Linksys/Netgear routers seem to work better with camera.

3 out of 5 eggs Ok..but cheap, cheap..and limited 04/19/2007

This review is from: AVS Gear ME-600OTG Plastic 2.5" IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure

Pros: Cheap. Internal Battery. Compact. Easy way to free up dig camera memory.

Cons: Moronic fastening system. Tabs will break off. Idiotic power sensing system.

Other Thoughts: Why does the unit have to be "on" for it to operate?? User might choose to simply power drive with USB power, NO???
