Patriot Viper II 'Sector 5' Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model PVV34G2400C9K
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: This memory is very fast and stable. it has a much, much higher clock speed then you would ever need to do anything. it is, "future proof" .

Cons: you need a motherboard that will take ridiculous ram speeds and/or over clock the board or ram in some way. not by fault of the ram though.

Other Thoughts: well worth the price.

Intel Core i7-875K Lynnfield Quad-Core 2.93GHz LGA 1156 95W Unlocked Desktop Processor BX80605I7875K
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: fantastic cpu. well worth the price of it because of its overall speed and overclocking ability. i got mine to 4.14 ghz on air and it runs at 20-25 c and 40-50 c load. this was very very easy to overclock due to the fact it is unlocked. at 4.14 ghz i got a 3dmark vantage score of 48800. the 920 got 17000 or so. the cpu is really worth the money. i was given it by intel and you can see a review of it and a build if you look up "skikarl" on youtube

Cons: why is this still 45nm...

Other Thoughts: its nice that intel is letting the 1156 croud still get some nice oc out of there stuff. and still on the low end. this cpu beat a 975 that was oced on 3d marks website.

Oregon Scientific AT18/BLRB Waterproof Action Cam
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

4 out of 5 eggs nice 03/01/2009

This review is from: Oregon Scientific AT18/BLRB Waterproof Action Cam

Pros: this camera is nice and small, has the ability to clip on to things, and beeps when it is turned on off or a recording is started or stopped so you dont need to look at the camera to know what your doing. nice battery life and film length, good quality for size of camera.

Cons: bad sound quality, you need to be outside or in a large room, if your not you here echoing sounds. it also is not so good at hearing sounds that are more then 10 feet away.

Other Thoughts: this is a nice camera. it was used in my case as a helmet cam for skiing. i would suggest that it is used in a stationary position, and that a piece of wool or something is placed over the mic to reduce wind sounds. would be good for a security cam.
