AMD Radeon R7 250 R7250X1GB 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card

5 out of 5 eggs I'm sorry for any who missed this boat 07/28/2015

This review is from: AMD Radeon R7 250 R7250X1GB 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: This card is absolutely phenomenal. It is far stronger than advertised and really is just a cool piece to own. I use it in my secondary computer (the one for guests) and it plays everything at either the highest settings or very close. It runs Payday 2 at a solid 54 frames at near max settings. Dying Light was easy for it on medium-high settings, even when paired with a quad-core Pentium. I wish i could have bought another couple just so I would have more to use, be that in crossfire or different builds. The casing is different, and while it felt kind of cheap at first, it just makes it stick out more in my mind. This is a fantastic card and if it (or anything like it) ever come back on sale, I want them all.

Cons: Case feels kind of plastic-y....?

Bell + Howell Black 2600 mAh Power Bank, includes cord and 4 adapters 9242

2 out of 5 eggs So close yet so far 01/14/2015

This review is from: Bell + Howell Black 2600 mAh Power Bank, includes cord and 4 adapters 9242

Pros: I bought this power bank on Newegg Flash for something like 80% off (I don't remember the exact amount but I think it was around 5 bucks). So, for me, price was a great pro. The design, besides the sharp edges (addressed in "cons"), is sleek and pretty. The adapters are nice. Also, *when it works*, it can charge my HTC One m8 nearly all the way from 5 percent. On that note, read the cons.

Cons: The battery itself doesn't like to hold a charge. That in itself is enough to make me dislike my purchase. Okay, allow me to explain. The battery does hold a charge, but it often loses it even while not plugged into anything. I would go to plug my phone into the battery and it would only charge 5% before the battery dying. Sometimes the battery would be completely dead without it even charging anything. To add context, this would be after something like a couple hours of it in my pocket or backpack. No extreme temperatures, no collisions, nothing to damage it. Even weirder, the battery doesn't stay at max charge during charging. I would have it recharging and leave it for a while. When I come back the light would be blue, but I didn't need it at the time, so I left it. I come back a few hours later and plug my phone into it after unplugging the battery from the wall and it would once again charge my phone maybe 20% before dying. Some days were better than others and the battery would hold most of charge for 6-7 hours. But these days were very rare. I cannot recommend this battery pack at all.
As for more minor cons, while the design looks nice, the edges are surprisingly sharp. I cut myself on the base once while picking it up. Eventually I just places a couple layers of tape over the edges and it is okay again.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps I got a faulty power bank? Because, honestly, I'm still disappointed and its been nearly 7 months.

Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell Dual-Core 3.0GHz LGA 1150 54W BX80646G3220 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics

Pros: I bought this CPU for my second computer and it runs at a very surprising speed. It feels very zippy on Win8 and has no issues running any basic programs. It even allows me to play TF2 on Med-High with very playable FPS.

Cons: Nope!

Other Thoughts: Perfect for the budget computer.
