This review is from: Logitech G27 (941-000045) Racing Wheel
Pros: Seems well built with metal parts with leather covered wheel.
Cons: Never worked!!!! Everything worked fine except for the steering wheel. It would go thru its gyrations during power up as expected, but then the wheel would be totally non-responsive, both in the Logitech test phase of the setup, and in the game. It may have actually worked one time, but that was it. I got so frustrated that I basically took a hammer to it and thru it in the trash... Where it belongs! Biggest waste of money of any product I have ever purchased.
Other Thoughts: A search on the web reveals that the issue I had is not uncommon. Many people had the exact same issue, with some managing to get it working by replacing the cheap plastic optical wheel inside the thing, but then there are others that simply could not get it working.
If you do happen to buy one, I'd keep the original box and receipt, and be prepared to either return it, or send it back for warranty work.
For me, I'm not going to risk buying another Logitech wheel again!
Cons: Not long after installing Windows 8 I began getting disk read errors, then it got to the point that the PC wouldn't even boot. Replaced the drive with a Crucial SSD, and all the problems went away. Installed this Samsung SSD as a second drive to see if I could at least use it for data storage, but no luck! Even as a second drive, it would most of the time prevent my PC from even booting. Now it won't even format!
Ripped this piece of crud out of my PC and the with just Crucial SSD, all is well. I think the only thing this drive may be good for is target practice! Will never buy another Samsung drive again!
Pros: Might end up working as a drive for storing data, but as a boot drive, it's totally worthless.
Cons: Installed Windows 8 on it, and it worked OK for about a day, then I began getting 'Disk read errors'. Got the point where I couldn't even boot up the PC. Replaced this piece of crud with a Crucial SSD, and so far no problems.
Other Thoughts: Have it hooked up now as a 2nd drive for data, and so far it's OK, but it's only been running for about an hour. Time will tell if it's worth anything.READ FULL REVIEW
