Pros: GHz Edition- runs fast
Saphire- they are quality and make great hardware
Keeps cool- With the Saphire Trixx software you can set a custome fan graph.
Been able to run everything on high @ 1920x1080 and 4x anisotropic filtering in the games i am currently playing with no notice in dropped frames. Games are Rift, Sacred 2, COD Ghosts, Torchlight 2, Borderlands 2 (with PhysX on HIGH)
Great card overall
Also a great size. This card isn't a monster like most in it's class. Will fit comfortably in a ATX mid tower. Probably fit no prob in a micro ATX as well.
Cons: None that i see so far.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This card is a beast. The specs speak for themselves with it being a GHz Edition card. This card ran at about 26 degrees at idol, and it didn't get over 50 degrees for me under full load with 70% fan speed. Played Path Of Exiles at all high settings and it played the game flawlessly (POE isnt the most graphically intense game but it looks great and i played on all high with 16X antisotropic filtering) I never dropped below 60 fps
Cons: The card was defective. I could play for a little then the screen would go black and the computer would restart. I first thought it may be a driver issue. Uninstalled the latest drivers from AMD and went to the HIS sight and installed there recommended drivers. Still had the problem so i put the old cards in, (pair of XFX Black Edition HD4890's) has worked fine since.
I RMA'd the card and am getting a Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition instead.
Would have liked this card to not be broke. I wanted to give HIS a chance.
Other Thoughts: This card is very big and long. I suggest watching the newegg video. They cover how big it really is. I have a full Azza tower and its a comfy fit. If you had HDD\SSD in the way it wouldnt fit.READ FULL REVIEW
