Other Thoughts: I had a few friends buy this exact model and had no issues what so ever. However, mine started hard freezing randomly on day 1 about once or twice a day. It did not seem like the laptop would ever go into sleep mode unless I shut the lid regardless of what settings I put it in. I tried a factory reset twice ( Complete pain in the rear without a recovery disk ) no luck. Tried a new hardrive, no luck. On week 2 I came home to a closed laptop that should have been in sleep mode but was so hot I could not even touch it. Very scary situation since no fans were running and I could smell burning electronics. After restarting it the fans kicked on and instantly cooled it down. I am now in RMA with NewEgg. I'm confident this one was just a dud but do keep all your boxes just in case this may happen to you.
That problem aside, this was a killer laptop once I installed a SSD for the OS and a few games. I did not play very graphic dependent games. It ran Dayz stand alone and mod with ease on max settings. Average frame rate on standalone: 50. On mod: 60. League of legends ran at 150+ fps on max settings. 60+ Titanfall max settings. Best of all it ran extremely cool during gaming.
