This review is from: Planet ENW-9801 10Gbps SFP+ PCI Express Server Adapter
Pros: 10Gbe using Direct Attach or optical SFP+. Only needs a 4x slot.
Cons: This card does not support any IPv6 offloads. The linux driver is not in the mainline kernel and must be compiled and installed manually.
Other Thoughts: You are asking for trouble if you try to run a lot of IPv6 bandwidth through this card due to the lack of offloads. Stick with IPv4.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: D-Link 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ PCI Express Adapter
Pros: 10Gbe using copper Direct Attach SFP+ or optical. Only needs a 4x slot. Cheap.
Cons: Does not support any IPv6 offloads... at all. The linux driver is not in the mainline kernel and must be built and loaded manually. I wanted to ding the card more than 1 egg because of these deficiencies but if you hit the card's sweet spot it works like a champ.
Other Thoughts: You are asking for trouble if you try to run a lot of IPv6 bandwidth through this card due to the lack of offloads.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Full support for ECC RAM with FX-8370. Fast boot even with a bunch of SAS cards with ROMs that take forever to initialize on other boards.
Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have the eSATA port come off the ASM-1061 controller in stead of the SB950. The way it is now the first 4 SATA ports comes from the SB950, the next two come from the ASM-1061, then the lone surface port and the eSATA are from the SB950.READ FULL REVIEW
