Most Favorable Review

Awesome with Win8.

TP-LINK TL-WDN3800 Dual Band Wireless N600 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 300Mbps/5GHz 300Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: I don't know why so many have issues with this for Win8. Plug and play and it has been awesome so far for me on Windows 8.

Cons: None to report.

Overall Review: I built a system from scratch, this was the last piece I received. By the time I reveived it, I used a wired connection to make sure to have the latest Windows updates before I got to install this. Once installed, it was plug and play. Maybe those of you having issues need to use Windows Update from another source before installation? I did not use the enclosed CD at all.

Ordered 2. Mostly excellent.

Overall Review: I have the Lancool II Mesh. You can fit this at the top of where the glass ends and/or at the bottom. This LED strip fits perfectly at the bottom option. At the top, you will either need to clip off some of the plastic bracket that holds the USB connections/power button etc, or, bend the strip at the rear of the computer to make it fit. I chose to simply mount it with a bend, and it looks perfectly okay. If you are OCD, you might choose to clip out some of the plastic at the front, but for me that would probably bother me more than adjusting where the strip is placed.

Works great. Mounting screws it comes with are useless and you'll need others.

LIAN LI LANCOOL II / LANCOOL 2/ LANCOOL TWO TYPE C USB3.1 CABLE --- LAN2-4X

Overall Review: Works great. I found this to be a 10-15 minute total install if they had put screws in it that secured the cord to the mounting point, but the screws it comes with are simply too small. Took me about 5 additional minutes to locate workable screws from what I already have in my garage. Total time investment : 15-20 min. I don't know how Lian Li continues to screw this up (it is mentioned in several other reviews.) I also don't love how the case comes with a rubber plugged hole for front side USB-C, BUT, it may be for those who do not have a USB-C header. I may not even end up using USB-C any time soon, but leaving that hole just left me feeling incomplete. It had to be addressed. (Well played Lian Li, clawing that additional cash out of my hands...) I also note that I didn't find this to be a particularly difficult or time consuming modification as others seem to have. If you bought this case and assembled your own PC, this really is pretty simple to do.

Fantastic with one quirk...

ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty Z87 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard
ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty Z87 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard

Pros: Has parts usually found on more expensive boards. Easy to overclock. Looks pretty good. Works well, and ASRock tech support was responsive to emails.

Cons: The Fatal1ty marketing is lame. The only "quirk" I've had is my PCI-E wifi adapter. The motherboard recognizes it only after I flash the bios with the card in a PCI slot. If I remove the card and replace it either in the same slot or any other slot and reboot, the motherboard does not detect the adapter. Luckily I do not need to remove it too often, but it was a pain to get to work in the first place. (The same card works fine on my other build, an ASRock Extreme4 Z77, so I believe this to be motherboard related...)

Overall Review: ASRock's tech support was responsive, and ultimately said I could RMA the board. But I decided not to take apart my system, and instead will simply flash the bios in the event I have to move PCI slots. Otherwise the board has been great, and would be 5 eggs but for that quirk.

Excellent card, great value/performance.

PowerColor PCS+ Radeon HD 7870 MYST. Edition (Tahiti LE) 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card (UEFI Ready) AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV3E

Pros: This card is easily overclockable. No voltage adjustment, card runs completely stable at 1175. Screams through games. That's as high as I tried, simply not to make it too hot. 925 to 1175 is really good. This card is exceptional in terms of price vs. performance, and competes with the 79XX series at the 78XX price. Not sure whether my card is either above average, or, whether they're all this good--part of the silicon lottery I guess.

Cons: Yes, this card can run hot during stress tests. The fan is not quiet, but not quite offensive. Neither of these issues will be a problem for normal gaming. The only time I ever really notice these issues is when benchmarking--so if you plan to do a ton of that and temperature and fan noise during that process bothers you, just know that going in. During gaming, neither of these is an issue for me.
