This review is from: Pyramid Pw677x 6-inch 300 Watt Car Audio Subwoofer 300w Chrome Sub Pw-677x
Pros: I took a dive fellas and it was not too bad. I prefer newegg service BTW. The speaker went into a thrown together box...even though I am a skilled carpenter and it sounds really good...I made sure the 6" sub had plenty of space kind of like 2 6x9 boxes combined. I have a Pioneer deck and a 1000watt Kenwood amplifier and the reason for me buying it was because of the price and the size of the woofer for scarce space in my single-cab truck. I got a 10 inch squeezed in there okay and I wanted a little more bass and this little champ carries/compliments the other sub pretty nice. I got a descent deck equalizer and the amp does a great job of protecting this little sub while supplying good bass...that's some of my philosophy and it worked. The box I made was enclosed, but looking at the materials used to make this little sub I think it would be a little bit better in a well built ported-box. My 10" sub is enclosed but if this 6" was in a good ported box I get all-around great bass from various music genres. I went on a 2 day road trip and I cranked up the sound and had a great time enjoying some hip hop, rock, instrumental and the bass was great. This sub has taken my Pioneer deck volume at 52/65 and the amp has a %5 percent gain increase...this Pyrimad is hanging with my 10" 500 watt sub. I also had Pyramid a few years ago as a car door speaker and I got good quality from it but it sounded better in a properly built enclosure. Even though I had minor issues I would buy this again....hands down and brag about it among other bass-heads like myself.
Cons: I got the speaker and it was slightly bent/warped on the circumference of where the screw holes were at but I was able to bend it back into place.
Other Thoughts: I would purchase this particular one again. I would recommend this speaker especially the size of the woofer to a car audio enthusiast or long timer because people have a tendency to be curious about quality and the overall product.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SUNON HA40201V4-0000C-C99 40mm Case cooler
Pros: Small and it is relatively quiet. Works as advertised even for the price. It was used to replace the fan inside a solid gear itx power supply. Everything works very well together.
Cons: none so far.
Other Thoughts: I would of bought another but the price is kind of high although it is to be expected due to the quality.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM R2.0 LGA 1155 Intel H61 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Everything works at default settings 1333Mhz. Small form factor, yeah its dated but for me I was looking for something that was a space saver. This is a so-so board with descent parts.
Cons: Shipping was Horrible. I love the Newegg window shopping experience but they lack the info. where its coming from within the u.s. and shipping took a long while. I'm stuck with this board, I'm ok with that, but at least I can buy 2400mhz and it should run at 1333mhz. The stated 2200mhz OC does seem to be a marketing ploy so they can sell this product or help their DDR 3 and laugh at the customers spinning their wheels. I have 4gb Crucial 1866 Ballistix Ram and it lowered the performance to 1333Mhz. The bios isn't exactly an easy button its supposed to be. XMP profile option should set everything in auto optimized default, it did not work and even selecting 1866mhz ram speed from the board didn't work either. This is the second ASUS product I bought and I'm very disappointed with the so-called O.C. options and performance they brag about. I think after a few months I'll be going back to MSI. I would not recommend this to anyone on a tight budget or someone looking for a common sense buy because of their marketing scheme. Alot of people brag about this ASUS stuff and I'm really disappointed, I'm definitely not getting my monies worth of what was printed on that box they sell.
Other Thoughts: I know ram is always an issue, but for me MSI was better in that arena than asus. This board came from the east coast so if you want it just under a week get the 3 day shipping and avoid fedex smartpost that newegg does under free shipping...or call them to make sure where it shipped from.READ FULL REVIEW
