AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD6300WMHKBOX

Pros: What can I say, it's AMD we all know what AMD offers, affordable CPU's. The performance to price ratio is where it's at.
If you are budget building You go AMD. At the current price of 99 dollars It's a good price, But now that the FX-8320 is 130 dollars I would go that road. Especially if you plan on gaming. I got my FX6300 when it was still 126.00.

Cons: Well, like I said if you are gaming get something else like the FX 8 core or i5 3570k. My FX 6300 & mobo bottle necked the hell out of my 760 SLI.

People will say the FX6300 wont bottle neck a 760 SLI they are wrong. I have the benchmarks to prove it.

IF you have a stock cpu fan and an MSI 97A- G43 or G46 board over clocking wouldn't be a great idea. Also don't put an FX - 8 core on ether mobo.. Some say you can get away with it, but I saw more people with fried Mobo' then a little bit.

IF you get a 750ti or maybe one 760 the FX 6300 wont choke as bad, but don't quote me on that.

Other Thoughts: I've built 3 AMD rigs in the past two years & I just finished my first Intel build. I now see what all the fuss was about over Intel, it's the better choice especially if you run nivida cards.

If someone were to ask me about AMD vs Intel I'd tell them this.
If you are on a tight budget and cannot go over a set amount.
Go AMD
IF you can squeeze out a few more bucks, go Intel.

3 out of 5 eggs OK if you don't care much about sound 12/10/2014

This review is from: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX 5.1 PCIe Sound Card with 600 ohm Headphone Amp

Pros: Cheap and works if your on board sound dies. Which happened to me and I was in a hurry.

Cons: HORRIBLE buzzing! If you are using a gaming headset get used to the sound of feedback, annoying never ending feed back. O__0

Other Thoughts: If you are in a jam and low on cash, don't plan on using headphones then this should be fine. After upgrading my Mobo and CPU I now realize how subpar the product is. BUT keep in mind the price. I changed my view to 3 eggs from 5
