Pros: Best consumer CPU for productivity.
Great CPU for extra lanes like for 3-4 GPUs ... if thats your thing.
Great for gaming, like the Haswells or Skylakes ... but not better.

Cons: If you bought the chip early, then you probably couldn't get more than 4.5 ghz, and that took 1.32-1.35 volts with the accompanying heat and energy consumption. You will eventually have to down clock to 4.4 for better stability, were it will do fine (keep trying to make it run at greater than 1.314 volts and you will degrade it; and may be kill it.
Cost I guess ... "But why were you looking on this side of the menu if you couldn't afford the price"?

Other Thoughts: I have owned two of these. The first one I burnt up tying to keep it at 4.5 ghz. Intel was GREAT, sent me another that overclocked to 4.8 ghz with 1.302 volts, and 4.7 @ 1.282 volts. I don't think I don't think I hit the touted silicone lottery, as much as the mid/later batches seem to be better bind. There are more and more posts on the internet with enthusiast reaching 4.7-4.8 ghz with this CPU with 1.3 volts.
I would recommend this CPU for those who need productivity first, gaming second or an enthusiast always.
I will as an enthusiast buy the new 10 core Broadwell when when it comes out, as well as the refresh Skylake ... but this one you will have to pry from my dead cold hands.
I have no complaints about this CPU, I got exactly what I paid for.

5 out of 5 eggs Intel Fultondale 3 DC P3600 AIC 400GB PCI-Express 3.0 MLC Solid State Drive 03/04/2015

This review is from: Intel Fultondale 3 DC P3600 AIC 400GB PCI-Express 3.0 MLC Solid State Drive

Pros: The fastest PCIE SSD you can buy that boots from Windows 8.1

Cons: You may have to download drivers from Intel in order for to recognized by Windows 8.1.

Other Thoughts: This is a followup to my first post with this product. While my initial impression was formed by Crystal Mark's 1200/550 results; I have since assessed the unit with other benchmark tools that have greater que depths. With these tools the average results were 2000 read/1000 writes. The conclusion is that if your workload has a high enough que value, then you will see these types of results.

4 out of 5 eggs Intel Fultondale 3 DC P3600 AIC 400GB 02/28/2015

This review is from: Intel Fultondale 3 DC P3600 AIC 400GB PCI-Express 3.0 MLC Solid State Drive

Pros: Fast ... when you download drivers, and use cmd prompt to increase high performance mode.
Will work with window's 8.1 with caveats.

Cons: You must feel comfortable with cmd prompt.
You must download drivers for it to be recognized.
You must have a ueif(?) bias that allows booting (most top end Asus's).

Other Thoughts: Initial crystal mark readings will be 1200 rd/550 writ for most, In creases will only happen when accomplishing above. Your mileage may vary. I only gave it 4 eggs, because some will not know what the're getting into until purchase.
