This review is from: SABRENT SBT-ESU25 Aluminum 2.5" IDE USB 2.0 External Enclosure
Pros: Price, Simple to use, easy to understand instructions, lightweight.
Other Thoughts: As the title states, I initially had a problem with the install and my Asus UL50VT Win7/64 unit recognizing it with plug and play. Once I only used one instead of the two USB plugs my machine had no issues and everything was smooth. Not sure what would constitute the need for using both plug-ins. Maybe an older machine or a larger drive. The HDD I was using is only an 80gb.
Reading the other reviews before I purchased had me a little leery as people have said their machine would not recognize the enclosure but I am wondering now how many were because of the 2 plug use.
It is an economy enclosure, very lightweight and works perfectly for me as I am using it to retrieve files from a dead laptop.
This review is from: Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brushed Stainless Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker
Pros: Lots of usable functions. Auto-On, Auto Shutoff, High-Medium-Low temp settings. Charcoal Filter, reusable filter basket, 1-4 cup feature which ensures coffee is at right temperature. Toggle switch for On/Off makes it easy to know the switch was hit. Clean unit function with indicator to let user know it needs to be cleaned. 12 cup carafe.
Really brews a great cup of coffee, doesn't make it too hot or luke warm.
Cons: Heavy condensation build up can cause drips on to hot plate when removing carafe to pour a cup o joe.. Cleaning of filter basket can be a bummer if unit not used daily. Easy to overcome that obstacle if you use paper filter option.
Other Thoughts: Really my cons are on the weak side and only a minor inconvenience. Would not cause me to shop a different brand next time.
I have seen many reviews of this unit with people complaining of the lid warping because of steam produced during brewing. But that is easily overcome by raising lid upon completion of brewing so it vents steam off. I have done this since day one, April of 2013, and my lid fits perfectly.
The charcoal filter is a great bonus as the water in my area is not the greatest. I do notice a huge difference when not using the charcoal filter as well. More of an after taste without it.
Other Thoughts: Only thing about drive i didnt like was that SATA connector on back of drive did not have snug fit. Seemed to be a little loose. Banged case a bit and have had no problems. Even when drive is running fastest speed still more quiet than other HD's that ive used. Would purchase another for next build.READ FULL REVIEW
