This review is from: ThreatTrack Security VIPRE AntiVirus 2014 - 1 PC - PC Lifetime - Download
Pros: No need to subscript yearly. So far so good. I've heard a lot about Vipre but I now have a chance to use it. Thanks for Vipre, I don't have to use Kaspersky ANY MORE. VIPRE is now a NUMBER 1 in my BOOK.
I hope Vipre stands behind their products. Unlike K, they DO NOT stand by their products. See Cons for more info.
Cons: Fair Warning: If you use Kaspersky, be aware of how many times you can install/uninstall into the same system even though your subscription is still active.
I bought K and had used it for 3 months (still have 280 days left) and after uninstalling and installing a few times, it will not let me activate anymore even though I did it on the same computer. Everytime I tried to activate it, I'd get an error saying "ACCEEDED THE AMOUNT OF ACTIVATIONS ALLOW."
I emailed Kaspersky to explain what happened. After 1 week without getting a respond from them, I decided to use Vipre instead.
Other Thoughts: I thought 1 year subscription means that you OWN that license for 1 year and you can do whatever you want as long as within the agreement (1 PC or 3 PCs).
I was deadly wrong. I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANY BRANDS (Kaspersky) DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.
Pros: I ordered 2 of these and got them today. Using 1 right now and other next month. They look pretty nice. As far as quality goes, only time will tell but for now, one seems to work quite well. I only use the outlets.
Cons: They don't stop hackers from getting into my computer! LOL.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for one, this is the one. I have bought a few items made by Rosewill from Newegg and the quality is excellent.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 1 PC - Download
Pros: I brought this one when it was on sale for $14.99 downloaded version. It doesn't take a lot of resource. As far as catching viruses, I don't know since I had it (3 months used).
By law, If any businesses would like to do any business in the USA, they have the obligation to tell vendors WHAT THEIR PRODUCTS CAN/CAN'T DO. NOT JUST HOW MANY PCs YOU CAN USE IT ON. I DO NOT SEE ANY INDICATIONS WHATSOEVER SAYING THERE IS A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIMES THAT YOU CAN UNSTALL AND REINSTALL (IN THE SAME SYSTEM) THIS SOFTWARE ANY WHERE ON THE BOX.
Cons: BE AWARE of the amount of times you can active it even if you uninstall/install back on the same computer. I don't have a lot of softwares in my computer, so everytime I do an update and a back up, I reinstall Kaspersky.
After about 3 months of used (give or take), I couldn't reinstall it. I got an error message saying "You Have Acceeded The Amount Of Activation." I emailed Kaspersky and they wouldn't honor it (still have about 280 days left). THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT(S)!
Other Thoughts: This version is 1 user but I thought as long as I still own the license I could uninstall and reinstall on the same computer as often as I want it.
I WILL NOT BUY KASPERSKY ANYMORE. I don't trust businesses who don't STAND BY THE PRODUCTS.
