This review is from: GIFT AMD GOLD 3 GAMES 2014 (Up to $150 Retail Value)
Pros: The game selection isn't that bad. I had the choices of PayDay 2, Shogun:TotalWar II, the latest Hitman title, Just Cause 2, The Latest Tomb Raider, and about 10 other titles. All in all I would say it is not a bad deal. However if what other people say is true about it being a non-refundable forced to pay for item, Shame on Newegg.
Cons: If this really affects how much you could return a purchased item for, which I'm starting to believe since it gave me 109 dollars off and the cost 109 dollars. Shame on NewEgg. Im very disappointed in this tactic, especially from a company that has proven so good to me over that last 10 years.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Where to begin with this laptop(from which I am writing this review). The laptop itself is beautiful and looks exactly as the pictures promised. It boasts 8 gig of DDR3 ram, functioning flawlessly. The battery life has been very impressive so far, I started doing homework at 2 today and am writing the review on the same charge at 5:15. The APU is very powerful and yet conserves battery life (hence the 1.9 ghz and lower resolution screen). The Charger is american and not European like other reviews have stated. I personally use the laptop for school work, which includes programming in eclipse and Visual Studio, Both of which load in mere seconds.
Cons: The keyboard feedback is a little weak, especially on the space key. The keyboard does indeed contain European annotations like other reviews have said, the charger is defiantly american unlike what some reviews stated. The keyboard is a little tight, but what do you expect it has a full numpad. At first I was having some issues getting it to recognize the remaining charge on the battery, this was fixed by removing the battery while the power adapter was plugged in the laptop on, blowing in the terminals and replacing the battery. Battery life meter works perfectly now. I miss pre-windows 8 versions, but im quickly adapting to the new features and limitations of windows 8, the mouse pad gestures are a little funky and so is the going to the corners to open other apps and the start menu. Plus there is no simple was to put the laptop to sleep like you can with older windows simply by using the start menu.
Other Thoughts: Don't listen to what others say about it not having enough vertical pixels to program, they clearly need something else to blame for there inability to scroll and read code. Easily displays 45+ lines of code with proper perspective setup. I truly do wonder why this laptop was refurbished, its better than new and still has that new electronics smell.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fantastic UEFI, The options are limitless. Overclocks CPU very nicely, overclocks RAM very nicely. Very energy efficient.
usb 3.0 front pannel, very fast
Allows for untied overlcocking, This means you can overclock FSB without touching the CPU, or Boost up the cpu, with out affecting FSB. First board i have owned with this feature, Very VERY VERY AWSOME
Plenty of stock NB SB cooling included, but i still placed aftermarket SB cooler. As it was at 35-50*C with stock cooler.
Cons: Adjusting Multiplier is not very clear, but fixed with bios flash 1.40
Strange HD audio header placement
RAID is fantastically dysfunctional, Needs to be fixed.
Other Thoughts: Does post AUXTIN anomaly common with boards with so much crammed on them. State Board is at 196*C at idle, due to wattage overflow to the faulty diode. When under full load will post -196*C I'm guessing this is due to reduced wattage and resistance overflow associated with full proc load.
Allows 8 total SATA but has 9 physical ports, It clearly states, in the included manual, the 3rd party SATA controller will shut off intrsata_8, if extsata_9 is plugged in. BUT WHO IN THE WORLD USES 8 internal SATA 6.0 any way, plus one external, Most boards do not even include this many internal ports.
I would highly recommend this product to an AMD enthusiast such as myself, Fantastic results, stable overclocks and so many extras.
