Amd athlon II x4 650 3ghz
Pros: so much faster then my previous dual core 3.4ghzs easy on the wallet. so far I'm quiet happy. easy to install + with amd you dont need to get the thermal paste it comes with there thermal pad.
Cons: -
Overall Review: was a upgrade for me went from duo to quad great performance.
not what i thought.
Pros: i have a ati 4650 off brand asus card. I used from my old build for my new build and the fan started to go out and make lots of noise and just plain not work making my gpu run really hot up to 90C way to hot... So I ordered this fan/heat sink combo because it says it fits on the ati 4650's and well it does but there was no room left to plug the card back into the slot...
Cons: bigger then i expected. I had to machine some of the heat-sink off to get it to fit back in my pci x16 slot. Fan did not fit back on to the heat sink after i machined it so i had to jury rig the fan on with a combination of super glue and zip ties.
Overall Review: possibly my own fault i did not see if it had the dimensions before i purchased, i was having a hard time finding a replacement fan/heat-sink combo for my gpu so i was happy to find something that fit. It works for now at least and i over clocked my 4650 card a lot all the way up to 750mhz gpu and 600mhz ddr2 ram (ran stock at 400mhz gpu and 300mhz ddr2, Still runs at 30C-35C so great fan just not what i expected.
cheap.
Pros: for hdds its fast, and its very quiet.
Cons: the last one i had only lasted a couple of years before dieing on me. never had a hdd that didn't last 5+ years before..
Overall Review: there nice and cheap right now 69.99.
whoa
Pros: good quality loving the dual fan setup plus it has a plug in and liquid cooling heatsink if you wanted to do that instead even. runs every thing atm on high no qualms. it can be even more overclocked if you wanted, its SLI ready if you have the power and room to dual.
Cons: bulky and long, longest gfx card i ever had in my life the thing barley fit in my case and its a big case for atx, and atx micro. im guessing its roughly 11" long. and its fairly bulky actually covers up another pci slot next to the on its in and almost covers up a third i could not if i wanted fit another pci card of any kind on my motherboard. They are fairly close together none the less though...
mm mmmm good
Pros: i had an old 200gb seagate hdd from my old computer i've been using for the last 8 years?? this was just a ridiculous upgrade for me loads my windows in about 5-7 seconds flat, crazy... its super fast and really quiet. my old one was kinda noisy you could here the grrr grrr when it was retrieving data.
Cons: its not a SSD, i dunno if it was just me also i had a big issue with cloning my old hdd to this new one. Apart from the fact that i had never installed a hdd before i had to reinstall my windows 7 64bit ultimate and found the windows.old file and rewrote it and what not but seem to still end up having to lose some data. i figured it would just copy every thing from my old drive and effectively make this a fully functional ready to go hdd that had the exact same data my old one did just its a new drive and such, now i have to reinstall drivers for my gfx card and such as well as re dl the updates for windows... some of the stuff like games and what not still work with out any problems but i just expected more from wd i guess. and have to go back and sort through the windows.old file and delete stuff that wont work now even after changing the folder to windows and letting it over write.
Overall Review: make sure you know what your doing and or be prepared to lose a lot of data when cloning to a new hdd.
ehh
Pros: i got this just for the dvd and cd read speeds its solid black and fits my systems color scheme well, theres no BOLD logos on the front thats big + for me i hate that.
Cons: it didnt install it self.
Overall Review: its black with no logos on the front
