Pros: Bought two of these based one the attractive price and positive reviews.
Good value with high output for the money, they LOOKED like quality products.
Cons: Within a year the first one completely conked out. Contacted Diablotak to RMA it. I got one email and that was all I ever heard from them.
The second one started having voltage problems after about 2 years. Again, I tried contacting the company and didn'tg et so much as an email from them. At the time they had no service number to reach them.
Other Thoughts: In short, you get what you pay for. Poor quality PSUs and a company that doesn't stand behind them. Shame on me for not buying another Corsair. Live and learn.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ECS Black Series A790GXM-A AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Decent board overall, nothing mind blowing but the quality is good with one notable exception.
Cons: One year and 11 months after purchase I discovered that one of the tabs on the CPU heatsink mounting bracket had broken. Very strange considering the computer never gets move so there was no chance for shock damage.
I contacted the company to RMA the board. At first things were fine. The guy seemed nice enough and the process was getting underway. However after a week I stopped hearing from them. So I called back, I heard him mumble something about it being out of warranty but he'll see what he can do. That's a load because on the site itself the board is warrantied for 2 years labor and 3 years parts, so it was still under warranty for both. After a month, which by then the warranty for labor had run out, I still had not heard from them.
All I needed was a new bracket, to fix the board, and was becoming very frustrated. Eventually a friend gave me one and I fixed it myself
Other Thoughts: So with the the exception f the bracket the board has been fine for over 3 years now. However, I would never, ever buy an ECS product again with service like that. They had a chance to make me a returning customer and they blew it. I'm sticking with brands that actually stand behind their products like Gigabyte EVGA.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PLANTRONICS GameCom 367 Closed-ear 3.5mm Circumaural Stereo Headset
Pros: Decent sound, fairly comfortable.
Cons: Mic quality is mediocre, pics up a lot of ambient sound, but that's not the biggest problem.
The plastic frame may look sturdy but on two occasions with two different sets the frame broke just above where the headset adjusts. Only was to use them is to tape it together. These things were no doubt discontinued for this reason.
A third set lost sound in one of the speakers less than 4 months after purchase.
Other Thoughts: Worst of all Plantronics wouldn't accept newegg's invoice as a valid receipt so I could RMA any of the 3 sets we had, 2 of which were under warranty. What else am I supposed to use as proof of purchase from an online retailer? So not only are their headsets poor quality but their customer service is terrible. Never buying from them again.READ FULL REVIEW
