Works Great
Pros: Works Fine in my 2010 13" MacBook Pro
Cons: none to speak of
Cheap but Not Worth It
Pros: It was cheap.
Cons: It worked fine for about 80 days, but then started dropping about 80% of packets during the day. I initially thought that my connection was to blame and RCN offered to send someone out if I would pay fifty bucks if it turned out the modem was at fault. I wasn't that confident in the modem, and good thing because signing up for modem rental again and using their modem fixed the problem. I did get an RMA number since it broke in the 90 day warranty period, but I'm not going to bother shipping it in since I would have to pay for shipping.
Overall Review: Your cable company will not be as helpful if you own your own modem! You should be aware of this! Your significant other may be annoyed when your internet doesn't work and you're trying to troubleshoot it yourself!
Works fine
Pros: Works like you'd expect with a few glitches.
Cons: a few minor glitches. Kinda flimsy.
Died on me
Pros: It was cheap (but not when you include the rma shipping). When it died they sent me a black model.
Cons: Died on me. I had to pay to ship it back.
No Problems
Pros: Had for a year, works fine no problems.
Cons: I did have to flash it because of that firmware thing.
Not worth it
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Started malfunctioning, RCN wouldn't help me at all, wish I hadn't tried to save some money by buying my own.
