Pros: Runs fast, cool, easy to OC, stable at 1800. Read your mobo qualified vendor list for the RAM. These bad boys were on my list, and they have been running stable since the first install.
Other Thoughts: Great deal for the price, provide speed and bandwidth to your PC. I got 4x2Gb all running stable at 1600 on my M4N78.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Thermaltake CL-P0257 Blue orb II CPU Cooler for LGA775 & K8
Pros: Really efficient fan and heat-sink for the AMD X6 Thuban. Installed it on a few of those and keeps the CPU around 24C at 50% load (@ ~ 92W) and below 40C at full load (@ 140W).
Silent, surely makes less noise than the fan on your graphic board.
Comes with back plate and spacers for both Intel and AMD mobo/CPU combos.
Cons: It is HUGE & HEAVY. I installed one recently with an AMD mobo from ASUS.
Make sure you install your RAM DIMMS before you install the fan. If your RAM comes with heat spreaders that make your memory taller (5-8mm above the chip) then you better install these on the first two banks BEFORE installing the fan.
There will be only 1-2 mm clearance between the ram and the fan!
The spacers for the AMD Phenom II CPU are installed by default on the spacers for the Intel CPU. You need to unscrew them first and put them on the spacers for the AMD.
Other Thoughts: If it rattles, most likely you have the power cable for the CPU fan in the way. Just push it down a little and then you'll be fine.
It is a very good and efficient fan though, and not only for the noobs :)
Pros: Fast, fast, fast! Can be OC'd at 2000MHz.
Stable, even at higher voltage.
READ BELOW, may help you in troubleshooting problems...
Cons: This RAM does work at the specified frequencies, BUT you may have to install one module ONLY in one bay first.
Then, install a second module in the second bay in DUAL mode. Run the memtest, try to overclock.
IF your system is stable, you're good to go.
Other Thoughts: I bought 2 packages, 4 times 2Gb, 8Gb total.
My mobo (ASUS M4N98TD) is not compatible with these RIPJAWS models number 4GBRL (my mistake, since they were not listed in the QVL).
I had plenty of random BSOD with all 4 DIMMs on the board, but that's my mobo NOT the ram!!
