Pros: For 15 minutes - its fast as hell
Cons: If your playing for any length beyond a quick game - forget it! At its stock clock of 1000 it cant stay below 80C and the moment it hits 80 I start to get whole-systems freezes tha need a hard reset. Even upon blowing a carpet-dring blower into my case, it still manages to get fairly hot and freeze.. I am forced to drop it into "green" model at 800 jsut to keep it alive for more than 15 minutes; and that isnt even bulletproof. Their documentation is pathetic; bad grammer and generally written in "engrish". Support seems even worse.
Other Thoughts: There is a reason most of the manfacturers wont factory overclock to 1000; it is a trainwreck. Dont think for a second Gigabyte has tricks up its sleeve that EVGA, or MSI, or SFS dont know about. Gigabyte blew it; plain and simpleREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: smooth gameplay..for a small gaming bursts at a time.
Cons: barely keeps itself coo with its own fans, and even with outside help it still manages to freeze up the OS during long gaming sessions. The only way I find it stable is to put it in "green mode" which sets the clock at 800. anything higher, even with my home shop fan blowing a 20mph windstorm into my case; still causes periodic freezes.
Other Thoughts: steer clear - just not reliable enoughREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Its small and quiet
Cons: Everything that I scan comes in with a pink hue that needs to be color corrected in photoshop.
unit shuts itself down when not in use. The Buttons are unresponsive and windows cant see it. The scanner wont wake up until you pull the plug out of the back and then push it back in.
Other Thoughts: steer clear - this is bargain basement stuffREAD FULL REVIEW
