Great upgrade for the Acer Nitro N50

PowerColor Fighter Radeon RX 6600 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 ATX Video Card AXRX 6600 8GBD6-3DH

Pros: -Runs (almost) everything with graphics maxed -Works great in the Acer Nitro N50-610 with the stock PSU -Free copy of Starfield!

Cons: -After installing the GPU, my computer gets stuck on the BIOS splash screen every time I boot up and I have to turn it off and on again to get it past the BIOS splash screen. I also get random windows popping up letting me know that the AMD driver is missing some DLLs but it doesn't seem to be affecting performance at all, it's just annoying and I haven't been able to find a fix that works yet.

Overall Review: Runs everything I throw at it on the highest settings. The ONLY game I haven't been able to play with all the graphics maxed out is Sengoku Dynasty and even then I'm able to play it with mixed medium and high settings to get about 40 - 50 FPS. Overall it was a good deal to be able to double by GPU power and also get a free copy of Starfield to boot!

Awesome gaming laptop!

Pros: Plays everything I've thrown at it on high settings Backlit keyboard with 10 key pad 1.5 Tb total storage out of the box

Cons: Isn't able to materialize pizza on command

Overall Review: I picked this up during the Black Friday sale because I'll be travelling for a large part of next year and I can't be without my precious video games during that time. So far I've only played American Truck Simulator and Pathfinder Kingmaker on it, but it handled both games on high settings without even a hiccup and I have HD graphics mods installed for ATS. Some other reviewers have complained about the squished keyboard, but I appreciate having the 10 key pad. The 10 key pad itself has smaller keys and is a bit squished but the rest of the keyboard feels perfectly spaced out. Plus, 1.5 terabytes of storage space out of the box! Plenty of space for all my games and pictures that I'll take while I'm traveling. All in all, if you need a gaming laptop or just a laptop with plenty of horsepower that doesn't take your bank account out back and shoot it, then give this beast some serious consideration.

Acer Desktop PC Aspire X AX3995-UR20 (DT.SJLAA.003) Intel Core i3-3220 6GB DDR3 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 2500 Windows 8 64-Bit

Pros: Small, quiet, powerful

Cons: Doesn't natively support booting to a Linux partition.

Overall Review: I removed one egg because I had to spend a lot of extra time with this thing just to get it to boot to a Linux Install (Ubuntu Server 13.04). The BIOS it ships with only supports booting to a Windows partition. I'm not sure who thought that was a good idea! Anyway, if you are looking to use Linux with this machine, be comfortable with flashing your BIOS.
