Pros: I installed 6 of these in my Intel Server Board S5520HCT for a total of 96GiB without any issues or complication. I am using my computer with Hyper-V virtualization, with no problem.
Cons: Cost, my server board will support 192GiB of RAM. I use my computer for virtualization, and I cannot justify the expense of another 96GiB or RAM at the moment.
Other Thoughts: When the price comes down I will buy more of this RAM.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Good price for 6 cores
Perfect for my Intel S55020HCT SSI EEB mother board
Have had zero problems with it
Supports Virtualization and Hyper Threading
A real work horse processor
Only 80 watt
Cons: None that I can think of.
Other Thoughts: Just a little bit about my build:
Intel S5520HCT SSI EEB Mother board
Intel Xeon E5645 Processor
Intel SC5650BRPNA Pedestal Chassis
Intel BXSTS100A Active Heat Sink with fan
Kingston KVR133D3D4R9SK3/24GB -- Quantity 2
Running ESXi 5.1 Update 1 and vCenter 5.1
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise
Windows 2012 Server
Windows Server 2003 R2
Windows 7 Ultimate
Pros: The Intel SC5520HCT SSI EEB board fits perfectly
All internal Chassis cables were perfect
Not very loud for a server Chassis
Plastic cooling duct fits perfectly over the Intel BXSTS100A Active heat sink
Not a bad price for a Pedestal Server Chassis for an Intel board
Cons: There are a few accessories that you can purchase for this Chassis that did not come with it. For example I have had to purchase the redundant power supply from newegg and I may also purchase the hot swappable drive cage, all are added expenses.
Other Thoughts: Also it would be better if the power supply was rated at 750 watts instead of 600watts.... just a thought
But then again I am only using 5 drives 1 Blu-Ray player and a single 80watt CPU
Works fine, have had no problems
