Pros: works as advertised, no issues with ordering, shipping, installing, or configuring
Cons: too pricey to justify buying
Other Thoughts: replaced a pair of 5870's with one of these; I intend to buy a second one in a few monthsREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: so far it works great, identified my display (Toshiba 65" DLP) and switched from DVI/VGA to HDMI automatically, [switched from an nVidia 7950 GT] so the performance increase was significant; running everything smoothly on display at 1680 x 1050; Crysis, Fallout 3, Half-Life 2, etc.; also works much better for large scenes in Blender
Cons: should have waited a week for the rebate, probably should have bought the
Other Thoughts: my monitor is built for 16:10 not 16:9 so not using 1920 x 1080; I need a better motherboard to really take advantage of crossfire, so I will hold off on my assessment of crossfire performance until I get a new one with 2 PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (x38, x48, or maybe I'll wait for x58)
4, not 5 mostly due to price relative to 4870 GDDR5
OCZ-Rev2 4BG DDR2
Thermaltake 750W PSU
Pros: Lightweight, sturdy, and newegg shipped quickly.
Cons: Difficult to reach some pins on a the motherboard, so I had to use needle-nose pliers to attach several connectors. In this case the versatility of 10 pin connectors separated into 10 individual pins made the USB and Firewire connections challenging.
Other Thoughts: Next time I will not get a case with a door. No word on the rebate yet...READ FULL REVIEW
