Pros: Fast. 128M of cache really seems to make these drives perform well.
Cons: Bought two of these drives at the same time. One drive was Dead on Arrival. Price.
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these, to replace a failing drive in a machine that I run 24x7 as a VMware server. I decided on the Enterprise series in order to hopefully gain reliability and the 5 year warranty. Well, so much for that plan. One of the two drives was DOA. It showed up as a 32M hard drive and never fully spun up. Quite disappointed. I could have bought nearly four of the cheaper Seagate Barracuda series in the same size for the price I paid for these two drives and probably had the same or better failure rate. Newegg handled the RMA well and the second drive works, but I can't get over the bad taste left in my mouth from getting a DOA drive. We'll see if the pair last longer than the previous drive I had in this system. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this purchase.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SUNON HA40201V4-0000-C99 40mm Case cooler
Pros: Quiet. Moves a lot of air for the size and low speed.
Cons: Doesn't move as much air as higher speed fans, but then you should know that if you're looking at these.
Other Thoughts: I was able to turn a noisy, 1U security appliance with three high-speed, high-noise fans of the same size, into a quiet appliance that I could work next to all day and run 24x7 in a spare bedroom next to the other bedrooms in the house. The appliance still maintains a comfortably low temperature and you can no longer hear the fan roar in every upstairs room in the house.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Sturdy, good looking, solid, well-built, easy to assemble, helps to regain desk space, all aluminum construction.
Cons: Silver. Requires allen wrench to adjust swivel tension. No individual vertical adjustment. Thick monitor mounting brackets.
Other Thoughts: Bought this to mount two 23.6 inch monitors of different brands. It works, plenty of horizontal mobility and adjustment for the monitors except that there is no vertical adjustment for the individual monitors. Therefore, one of my monitors is about 1.5 inches higher than the other. This wouldn't be an issue if both of my monitors were identical. Also, each joint must be adjusted with an allen wrench to the appropriate tension where you can move the monitors, but they aren't moving on their own. Not a big deal, but with 10 different allen head set screws it gets a little tedious. In addition, the arms aren't constructed as "left" and "right." There's only one type, and therefore, when assembled, some of the set screws face towards the front and some face towards the rear, which makes it a little more of a pain to adjust the arm tension than it should be. A set of thumbscrews for the arms would be a welcome improvement over the allen wrench situation. Also, be warned, the aluminum brackets used to attach to the monitors are very thick. The included thumbscrews intended to attach the bracket to the monitor were not long enough for one of my monitors, and just barely long enough for the other one. I had to go to my local hardware store and pick up some longer M4 metric hex head screws. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Overall, I think this is a solid, well-built product, but a few additional design changes would greatly improve the product.READ FULL REVIEW
