This review is from: TP-LINK TL-SG105 Unmanaged 5-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch, Metal Case, Power-Saving
Pros: functionality wise, specs, switch is great
Cons: the only reason i am giving it 3 eggs is that it didn't even dawn on me till i had it here and started using it that the ports are on the front. this may not be a big deal but it is to me since i wanted to use the switch on my desk, next to my monitor where everything would be tucked back. because the ports are on the front, i hate the fact that the ethernet cables come out at me and i have to bend em around to go back and behind my desk. this makes things look very messy. yes, i could always turn it around but then i have no status lights.
Other Thoughts: i wish the ports were on the back with status lights on the front.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LG 50" Class (49.5" Actual size) 1080p TruMotion 120hz LED-LCD HDTV 50LN5400
Pros: this tv is just what i was looking for. i did not need any of what i like to call the "dumb" tv features most tv's have nowadays. i think smart tv features are for people that have no idea what they're doing and just need a 1-click app to get to what they want.
so for you techies with some brains, if you have a media server, nas, htpc, or the like this tv is all you need.
best price $$$ .. thanks newegg
tv speakers are decent, they do get loud.. if you're expecting cinema sound from a tv though, you're wrong. the speakers do the job for watching regular tv. if you're watching a movie or expect really good sound then buy a home theater speaker system - of course this goes for any tv not just this one.
arrived with no dead pixels. working great.
the menus are easy to navigate.
not a bulky/fat/heavy tv.
led power consumption.
Cons: remote as far as ergonomics go is okay. maybe it's just that i have a big hand.
only other con i can think of is that when i watch during the day, there is a glare because i have a big window in my living room. but, then again i haven't really seen any tv's that address this somehow without sacrificing picture quality.
only 2 hdmi ports but i don't think i need anymore than that.
