Pros: Quiet when it isn't clicking
Cons: Failed after about 6 uses. We went through something like this a couple of years ago with WD drives crashing almost immediately. I guess WD has brought back this problem for grins. I'll be checking out other brands again, for the last time!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quiet and fast enough but be sure to partition this drive. When I first installed it in the enclosure neither Linux or Win 7 could see it. I logged into Linux and went into "fdisk" and noticed that it didn't have any kind of partition defined. I installed a NTFS partition on it and formatted it. Everything's working fine now. The drive is quiet and fast enough. Remember, it's a 5400 rpm drive so it won't be as fast as most desktop drives. Because of the lower spin rate you may be able to run it off of a single usb cable instead of the double that comes with it. That'll save a USB port if you're using an external drive enclosure. For the price it's a great drive. Newegg has done it's usual excellent job!
Cons: None except for the drive not having any partitions defined. That may throw off users who don't know to look. newegg may gets returns on good drives.READ FULL REVIEW
