-Battery life is very, very decent
-Win8 & Office 2013 FREE forever, just don't lose the card.
-Slick design, very nice grey color
-Screen is reasonably bright
-Screen easily docks to keyboard (unlike the TF300T's)
-2-in-1! (Tablet + Laptop...what could be better??)
-Win8 runs anything I throw at it
-500GB in the keyboard! Amazing value.
-Great price ($380 + tax + shipping)
I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. I couldn't stand the Asus TF300T any longer due to unit sucking after an update, so I bought this and I haven't looked back. Win8 runs fantastic and I have no issues whatsoever other than a hotkey driver issue I had.
From a productive side, this Office version is very good, lots of helpful apps in the store (the ones pre-installed are awesome too like the Finance and Mail one). I'd trust this unit to do some serious work on.
From an entertainment side, I installed every game I played from the 90's and early 00's onto the 500GB (CS 1.6, Diablo 2, Rollercoaster tycoon, etc.) and much, much more. The games run superb!! Wish I had this baby in 2002. Also if you're into comics, DL 'cover' it's only $3 but it's a very nice comic app, better than Android's Perfect Viewer.
Oh and the keyboard isn't that bad. I can type at the same rate as on my desktop.
Cons: -Build quality is entirely plastic but the keyboard doesn't feel that bad.
-32GB isn't much at all... I have about 7GB left after updates, essential apps and whatnot (games and such go to the 500GB). Do NOT purchase the 64GB though. I will not come with the 500GB keyboard HD.
-Fingerprints easily print onto the screen, but that's what screen protectors are for.
-It could use another USB port.
-Mini-USB port too close to the HDMI port, it can get confusing at times.
-I don't like the feel of the volume, Windows, and power buttons. They feel too sunk in making it hard to push.
-No rear camera, but that's not important.
-MousePad left/right click feels way too firm
-Windows Apps CANNOT be installed elsewhere but in the main C drive. Not Asus' fault however, it's Microsoft's.
-The App store isn't as good as Android's.
Other Thoughts: If you decide to purchase it do the following:
1) Buy the Poetic' leather case along with a screen protector immediately after purchasing here or wherever. You'll thank me later.
2) Once you've obtain the unit, UPDATE! Update Windows AND Asus drivers, especially the Bios. You might have to install the ATK (Hotkey) drivers again. Mine got corrupted; the brightness hotkeys wouldn't response.
3) LEARN the Win8 start menu! It isn't that bad at all. I like it now.
No way should this have 3/5 stars!
Best internal memory available (don't know about now)
Very good audio capturing
Cons: Nightvision sucks, will not work on ur tv only on the lcd screen.
Lens has a hard time keeping focus
Quality overall isn't worth $500
Other Thoughts: I DON'T recommend this camcorder to no one.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Cheap. Nice BRIGHT blue LEDs for those who like blue. It ruined my case's red LED set it up it has, luckily I sent it back to newegg (will explain in cons). Easy to mount, temps for i7 950 via Core temp 37-32-37-32 around there, stock clock. Not super great, but decent.
Cons: The first thing that comes to mind is the lame soft mounts to mount the fans (you can add another optional one as "pull"). Really a pain to mount, especially if you have the motherboard already in. If the motherboard is out, more power to you. (proper way to install is to mount everything when the MB is out anyway). You have to pull the soft mounts (made out of rubber) so it can hold the fan in using tension; weak sauce IMO, you'll get a distasteful feeling that you're pulling too hard, and feel that it'll rip.
Fins easily bend, so watch out.
Here is the worst part of the unit, the screws. The two screws you have to tighten towards the CPU itself are garbage. You literally do not feel it tightening, so you have to blindly calculate the limit or else you WILL snap the screw, this is what happened to me. I was tightening it down and I couldn't tell if it was tightening or not, apparently it was but unaware, I kept going and *snap*. Screws from the inside is not pure metal, just..garbag
Other Thoughts: For $30.00 get the Cooler master 212 Plus, it has an extra pair of copper tubes (8 vs 6), and the design to mount their cooler is superior to this thermaltake unit. Any other thoughts...hmm I hope I get my money back from newegg.READ FULL REVIEW
