This review is from: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750 B 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 750W Active PFC ATX12V v2.31/EPS 12V v2.91 5 Year Warranty 120-PB-0750-KR SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular NEW 4th Gen CPU Certified Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready Power Supply
Pros: -Looks great
-MODULAR(Not completely but pretty close)
-Red PCI-E cables(Matches my color scheme)
-Nice cables, comes with velcro ties for them
Cons: I'm currently running a GTX 780ti SC w/ACX cooler and every time I try and perform the Windows experience Index I get a hard shutdown at the "Direct3D 9 ALU" part. My GPU runs every game fine, great actually. I ran tests on everything else, which was all fine. So all thats left is software bug or power supply. And because there wasn't any error codes and it was a hard shutdown, my guess is the power supply. I'm really dissapointed in EVGA especially since this is an 80 plus bronze certified PSU. Thinking of RMA soon. But other than that....
-Wish the PCIE cables were fully modular and not ran with the CPU and Motherboard cables
-Don't really like the 3 pin thats attached to the same line as the 4 pin PCIE connector, It just kinda hangs out in my case and kind've ruins the look for me sometime. But this is just me nitpicking, not that big of a deal.
Other Thoughts: I just wish I wasn't experiencing this crash, it ran those test fine with the integrated graphics, but with my graphics card it crashes in the same spot everytime. But I don't have any problems in any game. And if it was a graphics card driver problem I'm pretty sure I'd get a blue screen of some sort.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Quiet, extremely quiet
Good static pressure
Braided Wire, very clean looking
Rubber Mount pads
Rubber mount screws
Included adaptor for 4-pin molex
Cons: Relatively low static pressure, but it is fantastic for the sound level
PWM fans can't work with fan controllers
It's PWM(Unless that is what you're looking for)
Orange Tabs... (I would like to stick to my white, black, blue theme)
Other Thoughts: Well I forgot exactly what PWN was but it's ok :) I wound up ordering 2 of these but I am only going to use 1 on my cpu cooler and I plan on returning the other one to get a non PWM model. But it is a fantastic fan, great performance and could be a great replacement to those scythe fans that are hard to come by, better wish they came in a pure black. I might just replace all my fans with these hahaREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Lower Price
Works great with a 5.1 Surround Sound system
Cons: Low SNR(102), my mobo had 102
Not many options for postional audio
Could not work with a USB Microphone(Astro A40 mixamp)
Not really the best for surround sound headphones
Other Thoughts: I was starting to get tired of not having posistional audio with my games and this was on sale so I said why not. Overall I was kind've disappointed with the performance but it isn't a horrible card. It works a lot better with my 5.1 setup than my surround sound head phones on my pc which sound fantastic with my ps3, but it works. I feel like the positional audio is somewhat lacking while gaming, maybe it is because most games abandoned EAX which is what this card supports, regardless I though DDL would perform a little better. If you have the money, go with a card with more options, but this is a great budget card non the less. And I heard a Z series is coming out which boasts a higher SNR and maybe some options, so look out for that as well. I don't hate the product I am just disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
