This review is from: Phanteks PH-TC14PE 140mm UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) CPU Cooler
Pros: Looks nice and keeps my CPU cool.
I am only clocking my i5 3570 to 4.2, but I have the little adapter that cuts the fan speed in half yet running iburn at maximum with room temp in the upper 70s F, it never got over 71c. So I know a third fan and and or letting the fans spin up more I could really OC.
It clears my Corsair XMS3 RAM with about 10 mm clearance, the fans could be shifted up a bit so clearing RAM should be no issue.
Cons: Cons? Well there is..no, or..no, hmm, none, it rocks.
Other Thoughts: Read the Specifications and MEASURE the space in your case. This thing is BIG.
If you read the instructions or just pay attention to what you are doing and not rush, this things is VERY easy to install.
This review is from: Fractal Design Arc XL (FD-CA-ARC-XL-BL-W) Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Pros: This case is very versatile, very flexible for water cooling if that is what you want. I use a Phanteks PH-TC14PE 140mm with room to spare. The fans it comes with actually do a good job and are not in the least noisy, I can't hear them. I like the easy to remove/clean filters. What else can I say other than this is a real nice well built case.
Cons: Well, they could have shifted everything down a bit including the PSU and made room for a massive thick 360 mm Rad. But for me I think that is a none issue because so far I am a happy air cooler.
Other Thoughts: Cable routing behind MOBO does require a small bit of thought because of room. But not real hard to do. The grommets are real nice. It is a large heave case but so very easy to work with. I am very much a happy camper.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: It took my i5 3570 from 97C to 74C at 4.2GHz on iBurn. It will fit a a decent size case like my Cooler Master Elite 430 with a bit to spare. Not noisy, in fact I had to look to see it was running as I could not hear it over case fan and day to day noise in house.
Cons: None that I can think of for my use.
Other Thoughts: Installation on my Intel socket 1155 would have been easy were it not for the access point in my motherboard tray being off center. I had to cut the tabs that I assume are for AMD off to clear the tray.
This tells me that you likely can not use this in a case with no access to under side of CPU as it would prevent mounting of the motherboard.
Would be nice if it had two separate plates for Intel and AMD but that likely would impact cost and for me (have Dremel will cut) it was no big deal.
