Pros: Worked. After reading about so many people having issues with various motherboard and RAM combinations, I was pleased when I had no problems at all.
Other Thoughts: This was my first DDR3 purchase. I went with Corsair, because I have had good experiences with them in the past. I was not disappointed.
I haven't tried to over clock them yet, but working at stock speeds from the begining is great.
AMD Athlon II x4 630 Processor
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO Motherboard
Pros: Good looks, fits standard ATX motherboards, comes with 80+ power supply and 120mm case fan. The case fan has 3 speeds. Metal edges of case have been rounded so no sharp edges. The harddrive cage comes with rubber grommets so help minimize drive noise. Top and side panels removal only requires unscrewing two thumb screws.
Cons: Standard ATX motherboards fit but will be very tight. Rear 120mm fan has three speeds, but the speeds are only controlled with a manual switch on a wire attached to the fan. Fan power connector is Molex so it doesn't use a fan header on the motherboard. These aren't really cons, just things to note if you are comparing cases.
Other Thoughts: I haven't had any problems with over heating thanks to open interior and large fan. Case felt sturdy while installing components; I never felt like I was going to bend the metal.
Included power supply makes this case an easy choice. I didn't have any issues with the power cables being too short.
This review is from: i-rocks IR-5400-WH USB 2.0 Card Reader
Pros: Price. Types of cards supported. Looks. Price (yes, twice)
Cons: As you should judge from the price, this isn't the highest quality product. Just be aware.
Other Thoughts: My full history with this product: Bought because I wanted to transfer pictures (jpg and RAW) quicker from DSLR's CF card. Worked as expected.
After ~1 month it just died, RMA process went well and received a new product. When I first opened the packaging, the top half of the plastic housing fell off. The CF card slot worked, but the SD slot did not. This wasn't such a bad thing since I use it mainly for CF cards.
To the company's credit, they saw my comment on this and sent me a new one. I haven't opened that one, but I at least do have a spare now. The RMA'd one has continued to work (CF slot) for ~1yr.
Moral of the story: Realize that you are buying this product because it is inexpensive. Be prepared for what that might entail. The company at least tries to help.
