ASUS P7F7-E WS SuperComputer LGA 1156 Intel 3450 w/ NVIDIA NF200 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: reliable/stable

Cons: sata 3 ssd performance is terrible with intel 520 ssd (550MB/s Intel spec -- 365MB/s seq rd, 95MB/s seq wr: AS SSD Benchmark). and equally frustrating is it's another abandon motherboard with NO driver updates. I guess you're just suppose to just throw them away and buy a new one after about 18 months. I purchased this when the board was fairly new on the market and yet asus walked away from it almost immediately. it's a lot of work to build a new system and migrate user profiles/data (neither mb mfr, drive mfr nor microsoft makes this easy). not to mention replacing an entire system is expensive.

Corsair Force CSSD-F120GB2-BRKT 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Works fine until if fails.

Cons: This SSD failed hard and NONE of the data was recoverable. This seldom, if ever, happens with hard drives.

Other Thoughts: It will take weeks to rebuild the system and right now, I am thinking it won't have an SSD in it at all. This technology isn't ready for prime-time. How can you trust your system and data to a device like this?

1 out of 5 eggs cheap in every respect 05/27/2009

This review is from: OKGEAR GC8ATAL 8" molex 4pin male to 15pin SATA power cable

Pros: none

Cons: one pin fell out of the Molex connector. it was so badly damaged in manufadturing, that it could not be reinserted.

Other Thoughts: this cable is just too cheap...look elsewhere.
