Pros: I was very happy the board POSTed the first time. All my peripherals plugged in and worked. With minimal fuss, my RAM runs at 1866 speed. Plenty of USB2 and USB3 ports.
Cons: Unfortuanately, the placement of the PCI-1x slot would cause major air flow blockage to my graphics card, so I'll probably have to rely on the on-board sound. Also, I feel the BIOS is a bit difficult to navigate.
Other Thoughts: I bought a different brand motherboard less than a year ago, but could never get my RAM to run at the rated 1866 speed. I wasted my money on that other motherboard, but this one works great, so I'm happy.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound AS5-3.5G
Pros: This thermal paste works fine.
Cons: You'll probably use too much the first time. Cleanup is a drag, as this stuff sticks to everything.
Other Thoughts: Seriously, don't use too much. One little tube should last maybe 5 or more new chip installs, or heat sink upgrades.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This RAM works great for me, I've had no problems running a pair of these sticks in a Gigabyte GA990FXA-UD3 with both a Phenom II 965 and a FX-6350. On the Phenom II, they ran at 1600 and when I switched to the FX CPU, the RAM automatically started running at 1866. Although superficial, I like the way this RAM looks with my mobo, which is also charcoal grey.
Cons: I've had no major problems with the RAM. For some reason, they were coming up at 1333 speed under the Phenom II, but some tinkering resolved the issue.
Other Thoughts: I'm a hardware junkie, but not a 1337 gamer. I like a fast machine, but don't need bleeding edge power. I've had the first set of sticks for about 4 months now, and just went all YOLO and ordered a second set. I know they don't guarantee compatibility, I'll provide an update when I put them in.READ FULL REVIEW
