Pros: Price is right. Light weight and good height.
Cons: Packaging was less than expected. Power cord was bouncing around on the screen side of the box. Plastic wrapping kept it from scratching surface.
Other Thoughts: For under $200 I'm satisfied with this for just office tasks on a Windows 7 PC.
I'll report back if it doesn't hold up.
Pros: Attractive case that is easy to access on side panel.
Nice blue led on front panel and small red led (HD)
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: On another site a reviewer stated that the CD/DVD panel does not open. Not true, there are to buttons one for each CD/DVD 51/4 drives which depress eject buttons.
I used this to install Linux Ubuntu server on it as a home server and router. Over kill on the specs for Linux but I want a robust home server. Plan later to get another box with higher specs and nice video card to use as a Windows server entertainment center in the future.
Pros: Nice desktop machine for basic tasks. Purchased as a kiosk machine in front room to browse, check email and pay bills. Easy re-install of OS with supplied software. It's size is very convenient and able to place it out of the way or on desktop on it's side with little space used. Other than the video discussed below, the performance is ok. But thats about where the pros end.
Cons: The video card or the power supply seemed to be faulty as the video out will crash when even screen saver graphics is activated or viewing a youtube video. I tested against 2 different monitors. Very disappointing since you can't "Stay productive and get creative" when your video chip fails. Finding drivers for this PC is very difficult.
Other Thoughts: I was reluctant to go with the integrated graphics and 200w power supply. I didn't think that it would be a big performance hit for just basic PC tasks.
I wont ever purchase from Acer again because they seem to be more than willing to piece together something that does not perform as stated
"...great media features that make it easy to power through tasks, explore the Internet and enjoy more of your digital media and entertainment."
