MSI R7 260X 2GD5 OCV1 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

5 out of 5 eggs Very nice overall in this price range 03/06/2014

This review is from: MSI R7 260X 2GD5 OCV1 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Plays games at 1080p quite well. Nice heatsink and fan that keeps the card cool and quiet. Seems to be fairly low energy usage. Drivers loaded just fine.

Cons: None so far. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks. As long as it lasts a long time I will be perfectly happy.

Other Thoughts: At barely over $100, this is a very good value. It is probably the best card available at this time at this cost. If you are playing at 1080p (or lower), this will serve you very well. I haven't tried any of the advanced audio features, so I can't comment on them.

Pros: Runs like it is supposed to. Plays games fine at 1080p.

Cons: None so far. Hopefully it will last a few years.

Other Thoughts: Seems to have pretty reasonable energy usage. My system idles at 60w and goes up to around 180w during games. Reasonably quiet. Overall good so far.

Acer G276HLDbd Black 27
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Large viewing area, low energy usage, good picture quality

Cons: None so far. It has been reliable for around 6 months. I have used other Acer monitors for several years with no issues, so I expect this to last a long time.

Other Thoughts: I use this for a computer monitor (text, spreadsheets, CAD, gaming), and to watch movies on. It does a good job at both. Very pleased overall, I should of upgraded from my 23" monitor sooner.
