Pros: I've been running this PSU with 780's in SLI, overclocked 9590, Crosshair Formula Z mobo, 6 mechanical drives, 2 SSD's, 11 fans, and a D5 pump.
I've tripped the over current protection, and the short circuit protection due to stupidity.
This PSU has survived a motherboard fire.
This PSU is also still powering the rig used to write this review.
Cons: The modular connectors are a bit hard to connect, especially with the PSU already installed and not having a large work area.
But it does make a very secure connection due to that so that's a pro at the same time.
I've overloaded individual rails before. I don't fully understand the rail layout, and no documentation really helps me with that. I do not know which connectors share rails with others.
Other Thoughts: Due to how stupid I've been with this thing, it should be dead. But it isn't.
I don't understand the low rating overall for this PSU. It's been more than I ever expected throughout my ownership of it.
This review is from: Antec KUHLER H2O 1250 Water/Liquid CPU Cooler 240MM
Pros: Keeps a 5Ghz 1.6vcore FX9590 Prime stable at 75c, with two extra fans as a push/pull setup.
That should say enough about how good of a cooler this is.
Cons: What a pain to install. The locking mechanism on the waterblock is awful. Beyond awful. It would unlock while I would be positioning over the chip, with two screws in it. Have to unscrew it again, lock it back in place, and try again.
After doing that about 5 times the stars aligned and I got it on properly.
The Antec software has an ugly GUI that looks like they stole it from an early 2000's OEM overclock tool. But it's functional.
Other Thoughts: Besides the terrible bracket lock, this thing is amazing.
The only step up from this would be an open loop system.
