3 out of 5 eggs Cheap, be careful 09/20/2012

This review is from: KINGWIN ML-01 4" 4 Pin (M) to 3 Pin (F) Adapter Cable

Pros: Works.

Cons: The wire's aren't held in tightly. I pulled it and one wire slipped out of the 3 pin connector. It popped back in and is working fine though.

Other Thoughts: I needed this to work with a ZALMAN FAN MATE 2 Fan Controller. Combine this adapter, that Fan Controller and a 4 pin (F) to 3 (M) Adapter cable and you can control the speed of a single Molex fan for cheap without using the motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggs Cheap but loud 09/20/2012

This review is from: Linkworld Electronic LLC FAN-9 90mm Case cooler

Pros: Cheap, works. One of the only 90mm fans I could find. I needed if for the Cooler Master Elite 343.

Cons: Has a 4 pin Molex connector. When you plug this straight in to the PSU, it's very loud. You can hear it from the next room.

Other Thoughts: If you get a 4 Pin (M) to 3 Pin (F) Adapter Cable and a 4 Pin (F) to 3 Pin (M) Adapter Cable (like the ones that come with some case fans) and then get the ZALMAN FAN MATE 2 Fan Controller you can power this 90mm fan from the PSU and turn the RPMs down until it's quiet enough for you. It's still very loud for the amount of air it pushes.

Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BA1339

Pros: Working fine. RAM is so cheap there's no reason not to have 8 gigs. It seems much better to have 8 gigs of non-OC than 4 gigs of similarly priced OC RAM.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I couldn't get Memtest86 v4.0 to run. It encountered an unexpected interrupt. But the RAM passed Memtest86 v3.5, MSI, and windows 7 memtest and seems to be working fine otherwise.
