This review is from: Seagate NAS HDD ST3000VN000 3TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive
Cons: The drive arrived packaged very well. However, when I went to install it, it would not plug into the connector in my NAS. When I looked at the drive, the data connector was broke and you could see an indentation on the drive where it had been hit or dropped. There is no way this could have happened after placed in the bubble packaging. This review is from: AVerMedia HomeFree AVplus F210 Watch Live TV on iPad
Pros: Shows standard definition channels on iPad.
Cons: It only shows standard definition channels. The description indicates it shows channels in standard definition. To me the description implies that it will show Hi-Def channels in standard definition. This is not true. If channels are Hi-Def, it will not play them at all.
Other Thoughts: Never got it to work with Windows. But I didn't spend much time since I already have a Silicon Dust tuner that plays on Media Center. I was looking for being able to watch TV on my iPad which I have to give a failing grade to if it only plays standard definition channels. Also very quirky when scanning for channels. Everytime I scanned for channels on the iPad, it always said no channels found. I finally closed the app and when I reopened it, it was listing the few standard definition channels that it found.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Small, quiet.
Cons: I bought planning on running my monitor through the HDMI port at 1080 setting. However there are no 64 bit video drivers available so the max resolution is quite a bit less. Pretty much makes it useless for what I had it planned for.
Other Thoughts: If you just wanted to run it as a network appliance and were not planning on watching video or viewing pictures it would probaly be OK. But since it has a HDMI port, you would think you sould be able to drive a monitor in HD.READ FULL REVIEW
